I got one of these, sits under my TV in my room, very impressive for what it is and if like me you want a more console like experience it’s worth it. My Time Spy score was 8457 and Fire Strike score was 21565 for anyone interested.

By the way the Back USB Cs are wired for USB4 protocol so technically eGPUs can be plugged in here. ETA Prime has covered this in detail.

Can definitely recommend. I got the previous edition HX90G with a 5900hx and same GPU, it works perfectly as a console-like device for my TV. Turned it into a Steam Machine using ChimeraOS which has ran smoothly for over 10 months now.

@@lancasterspades6558 Yes, though I bought a PS5 as well and haven't been using it as much lately. But recently used it again to play Fallout 4 which ran perfectly. But for newer games it is now showing its age, and the upgrades don't seem really big steps forward. Even though it is leagues ahead of any integrated GPU, the 6600M can't really keep up for newer games and the 7600M in the newer model doesn't seem that much better.

Sure, you give up some raw power and upgradability compared to a desktop and some portability compared to a laptop, but this is for those want a mid ground between the two worlds.

I'm looking to get into a good gaming pc I know a thing or two about computers I've been upgrading and rebuilding my rig for 15 years but it's gotten to this point that my hardware is just too old to go any further I've always wanted a monster gaming pc, with my wife's failing health I can't really be away from home more than necessary have to be home to look after her so gaming is really my only hobby anymore and as a retired army ranger working maintenance now I can't afford a monster gaming pc I have a good cooler master haf 922 case and a couple of 850 watt power supplies and hard drives and ssds and a couple decent graphics cards really just need a good mobo and cpu and ram what would you recommend

Sir I would suggest i3 12100f with msi b660m-a or b760m-a board and a 16gb kit of ddr4 ram. This won’t be a “monster” gaming rig but it will be good enough to play most modern games well if you have a decent GPU. The board is also pretty good and you’d have room to upgrade down the line but you’d want an aftermarket cooler for anything hotter than an i3

With upscaling, they can already game in 2K and 4K :))
The difference between a console and this miniPC is really small.
Console has an RX 6700 full-fledged. This has a low-powered/highly-effiecent RX 6600. It's around ... Idk ... +35-45% more powerful? The console? It's not that far away ...
I don't think they'll make it just yet. It would cut in on their console sales. Which ... are like 20% of AMD's gaming bussiness ...

Its amazing how many people make these videos. First time viewer. I am older and know nothing. I am homebound because of pain. Watched videos for two years before I got the courage to buy something and regret going the cheapest route. Tech dweeb made a video about the gmk 5800 and assurd his viewers that it would play everything that the 4t external hard drive retro mini beast had to offer. Maybe he was being truthful but he probably had to adjust things on the mini PC to accomplish it. I finally stumbled across something called hertz which was factory set to 29 (save earth mode). I bumped it up to max 60 and that helped but still wasn't perfect. Then i found something called shaders on the external hard drive and when turning it off almost fixed playability and sound but still not there. Question one is there something else to change on factory settings on mini PC? Question two. Should i have maxed out herts to 60 or something in between 29 and 60. Third question was he not completely truthful about the gmk 5800 capabilities and if so what's the least expensive solution for a mini PC. The instructions on the 12T hyper spin is a I-5 core processor or higher. I don't want to have change any of the settings on the external hard drive except maybe shaders because that's easy. Is the ser7 good enough i think that is what it's called. Thanks for helping if you read this. My name is Dennis. Also is there an external hard drive with more RPGs than the 12T hyper spin? The selection on the higher consoles from ps2 and up are pathetic! For example 656 ps2 games and at best 15 RPGs. That's 2.5 percent i think there should have been a minimum of ten percent so there would be 65 RPG type choices

Why do reviewers never use a tv when reviewing these mini pcs they are predominately made for people wanting a console experience to play steam and pc games so hooking up to a tv will be a big plus, but no one ever uses a tv they always use a monitor on a desk with more then enough room for a desktop thus making this pointless as a desktop replacement. I want someone to try it on a large screen 4k tv, I know it’s not going to hit 4k but it would be nice to see what it can do on a large tv instead of a small monitor

I don't see the point, if you want to see how it actually looks and feel, then that would be a review of the TV, not the computer. If you need to test how the frame rate (for instance) works on 4K or above, you just need to look at the version of HDMI it's using (or DP).

Great little machine! Kinda want it!
I love that people are really paying attention to mini PC's now.
WAY back in 2016, Zotac was making mini gaming PC's and the entire industry almost entirely slept on them! almost nobody mentioned them! An i5-6400t (upgradable!) with a GTX1070! Dual channel DDR4, NVMe and full sata storage, 2xHDMI, 2xDP, USB 3.1 support, a full SD slot, WIFI, In a formfactor the size of an impressive sandwich? legitimately identical to this in size, but THINNER. and for 2016, that was absolutely wild!
I got one, upgraded the CPU to an i7, and it was my main PC for gaming and everything else, and later wound up the dedicated VR machine. Now it's our dedicated TV pc, running all our TV needs comfortably, (as well as one of our spares for occasional PC VR on the Quest). I'm typing all this on it right now! Still going very strong, it's been such a quiet little workhorse!
I just looked them up, and they're STILL doin' it!!
Can you guys see if you can get a hold of the Zotac Magnus EN374070C? It's saying it's packing a Core i7-13700HX up to 5ghz, and an RTX 4070! DDR5! DUAL 2.5gb LAN! Lordy.
I'd LOVE to see a video on that!!! 🧡

All these videos with high cost of mini pcs really defeats the whole purpose of one. I mean at that price just get a laptop with better specs. I mean a laptop is literally a mini pc that is flat vs boxy.

It's good for the price. Jeez, you don't need more than 60 FPS and 4K, you modern gamers are just so used to the new stuff.

Sorry for the off topic question I have come to the realization that I can't use my PC forever. I know, big news for anyone who has been using a PC to game, ever. I am on a limited fixed budget and will try to get a new rig as I can afford it. I just want to keep my old PC alive long enough to get the new one built. I think I need to get a New GPU since it is getting hot and feels like it is struggling on the same games I have played for years. Plz don't laugh when I give you my specs it was good in its day. (a long time ago). I have a i5 4690K CPU @ 3.50 GHz 16 gb ram single channel. I have a EVGA GeForce GTX 960 and a Corsair CX750M Power Supply all on a Z97 PC Mate motherboard. Yes it was built in 2015. I guess what I am asking is what is the most cost effective replacement GPU that can give my old PC a much needed boost so I can play my games with out min settings and image shuttering and lagy game play. I was leaning towards a 1070 or a 2060 but I am unsure of compatibility ie: will it fit the PCI-E 3 I have or is there a better option. Again I am sorry for the off topic subject matter but I am not tech savey enough to know where to go to find advice on this. I hope I am not being an irritant but I am in desperate need of help by ppl that have exp in this. I have seen very informative and understandable content on this channel before with complicated terminology explained in a way I understand that is why I am asking here. If there is another place I should be asking for advice plz let me know. Otherwise ty for your consideration and possible advice on where I should go with this. Have a good day all.
