This new year should be "Lunar New Year 農曆新年" as it is also applied in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Korea, Taiwan and Mongolia....etc. So Chinese people and we Asians have never said "Chinese New Year" but "Lunar New Year 農曆新年" always.
