Introverted functions like Si are about the things that 'actually matter', as in the things people call ' its the little things that count', whereas Se is like all extraverted functions more orientated towards all the extremes of the spectrum, whether that's good or not. Si is for example about eating just enough of this and just enough of that in a very specific manner that seeks balance. Se on the other hand is looking for the extremes..the extreme taste, the extreme smell. It can both be extreme in a good or bad way and in a way to extraverted functions there is no real good or bad, they're just all different flavors. Ne is liek this with ideas. Ne like ' crazy ideas' , or in other words ' extreme ideas'. They can be extreme in good or bad way and mostly that part is not really judged that much. It's an intense idea first and foremost. Si wants to perfect one thing and Se wants variety and does not care about perfecting one thing, as that is boring to them. Joe Rogan (Se dom) is only interested in animals for example if they're BIG or they're Very strong or very good at fighting or such things. It's about the extremes in the physical. Si is not intertested in any of these things cause it perceives the good and bad more of the extemes. For example, the bigger you get the more food you'll need to find and the more aggressive you are, the more likely you're gonna end up in a needless fight that ends your life. So it seeks that sort of balance in the middle where things are not too hot, not too cold but just the right temperature. Se is like ... oh that's so interesting cause it's HOT or so intersting cause it's COLD (well, not literally these things, bt they could work literal too as hot and cold are sense related extremes).
