Rotkiw very really if it wasn’t rigged from the start, the jury aways voted after the public vote, in this year of Eurovision they changed it so the judges went first giving the public the opportunity to see what they voted witch unfortunately put Australia at a disadvantage🤙🏻✌🏻✊🏻💦
+ZOHIL EN ALEMANIA Give a chance to Ukraine because Russia still bully Ukraine and Aussie families and others countries died with no reason shot down by evil act, by the way Australia won by Judges voted. Europe people voted and support to Ukraine, I think it's so fair, Russia was the Thirth place Go Ukraine, go Australia. Woo Hoo.Russia Stop BULLY. P.S I loved You are my only one song from Russia. It was so creative background design i have never seen.
To those who question her position in Eurovision - Australia has been televising the competition for 30 odd years and we have many people from Europe who live here. We are a multicultural nation. My grandfather was in the womb on the ship coming out to Australia from Scotland in the early 1900's. I am proud to be of Scottish heritage and proud to be Australian. Many congrats to Dami! Being second in such a prestigious competition is a testament to her talent. Frankly she should have won. Her vocal and performance talent is undeniable.
+Tim Bradley It is a pleasure to have you Australia in the ESC. This song is amazing. 12 points from Poland even though I will have to vote from the UK haha
+Tim Bradley you deserve it :) I loved your last year entry and I love this one. Your song is one of my favorites. kisses and good luck from Croatia :)
correction ... she is of Korean decent bit she is an Australian Citizen there for Australian ... as I am sure you have many ethnicities in your country who are in fact citizens
Alexander Rybak's (winner of 2009 Eurovision) opinion of Dami Im's Eurovision performance: *JURY WINNER: This is hands down the best voice I've ever heard in Eurovision. And since there was no clear winner song this year, I can understand why the jury went for this one. I'm just so happy that when new countries are getting invited to participate in Eurovision, they give their best! Thank you, Australia!!!*
I won't lie, at first I was bitter about the return of Australia at a European competition, but then I heard this entry and my mind changed completely! I love her voice and I may even vote for Australia along with France and Poland. Love from the UK :)
+Abbie Louise Viewers from the UK may vote in the 2nd Semi Final (in which Australia participates) as well as in the Grand Final itself. Please vote for Dami! :-)
A review of Dami's performance tonight for the jury: Australia: Dami Im - Sound of silence The biggest applause from the crowd and the press goes to Dami Im, providing a touching performance sitting on a huge box and playing with on-screen projected devices, transmitting the message of being alone in the days where we are all connected digitally. It is a simple performance but the vocal abilities of Dami Im shakes the Globe Arena and goes over everything. Possible winner for this semifinal.
That's why the show is all about and she will be definitely going to the Top 10 this year because of her inspiring song based a beautiful message so bring it on.
I remember all the comments when this came out about there is no way she could sound this good live..... Well, she made it sound even better by doing that "Dami Thing" to it.
+John Horan The #DamiArmy knew all along - we were just quietly chuckling to ourselves knowing that Europe is about to be slayed by Dami. Especially gratifying a la "we told you so / just you wait" - against those detractors/trolls.
+jaysip park Her body language during the SF and GF shows how much confidence she has gained. That voice, the step, the fist shaking, she took control of the audience and played them, and they loved her for it. They were "Damitized" and "Daminated" from the first note. Amazing that I found her as a result of looking at XFACTOR performances about a year ago, and now have my sister, and my wife hooked. She is amazing, and a great young lady, with an amazing family to boot.
John Horan I hope Dami gets to make it to the US - and you would get to meet her. Absolutely lovely and gracious lady - she gives you all her attention - such a genuine and humble soul. Always leave me buzzing. Cheers mate.
Dami is a class act and has proven she can definitely compete on a world stage. Congratulations on a stellar pop song,! It's so disappointing that so many ESC fans don't want Australia to compete. ESC is massively celebrated in Australia, we've supported it and adored it since the very beginning. We've sent our strongest singers three years in a row, last year Guy came 5th, so we've proven that we compete. Rules are meant to be broken, don't take your close-minded views out on our singers!
+saidtheredhead8 I'm actually super happy that Australia joined. Australia has been an associate with the EBU and watching Eurovision for 30 years, so seems fair to make an exception for Australia :D
saidtheredhead8 Btw Dami is like a super great choice! *-* I never heard of her but after listening to this song went looking for more and wow she is amazing! Great choice! :D Hope next year you send more :) My country isn't running this year sadly, but if we were know Australia would have been on my top 5 this year ;) Can't wait for her performance :D
+Manuel Moreira You should follower her on her facebook, twitter, Instagram, etc.....she always post stuff. I love it because she is so nice and has a heart of gold. I'm a big fan of Dami from Canada.
She is an amazing singer, well educated in music, with good vocal training and musical knowledge. She literally won the Australian xfactor with her first performance. She is so humble and cute.
I love how people are like “we’re going to ignore the naked men in the background, nudity is only terrible when a woman is showing skin.” Let people wear what they f*cking want, thanks
If you ever witness Dami singing live, you'll be surprised, she doesn't need auto tune at all, Then you'll love her even more, I know I do, and thousands of audiences in Eurovision watching her live
+Alexander Gamilato Dami took the song up an octave in the live performance. I think she had to change things around to stand any chance of winning by making the song more dramatic. She is a great live singer with untapped vocal range.
Go Australia and Dami!! And to everyone wondering... why...?? It is because we love Eurovision SO much 😀💖 and have followed it so diligently for so long! She was SO robbed of that victory 🤦♀️ Seriously - You can argue all you want about Australia being in the EUROVISION in the first place but.. Nobody can claim she shouldn't have won. She was a POWERHOUSE if I ever saw one 💪 and competition was MILES away. Everything about the performance was just beautiful 😊 Australia should have won - The end! Greetings from Denmark ❤
OMG!! Are you from Denmark? I want to live in Denmark!! But IDK how to learn the language, so Im from Spain, if you want to speack Spanish we can do it. Say me a comment pleas. Love you from Spain - Barcelona (I speack catalan too, if you want)
We can say without any hésitations , without any doubts , without any questions that the voice of Dami Im is the most unbelievable one among all I have listened to . We will continue to support you . Regards from France!
+Isabella Escher Hi, I hope this finds you well :-) I couldn't agree more. Dami Im sings it beautifully :-) I hope you continue to enjoy Ms Dami Im :-)
Dami, I was at your first audition for the X Factor in Australia. I was studying abroad there at the time. I can just remember thinking to myself, "Gee, I hope she gets far in the competition." I'm so glad that I bought a ticket to that show. It has truly been wonderful to watch you grow as an artist!
Dami Im is a world class talent who needs to be discovered just like Celine Dion when she won Eurovision 1988 representing Switzerland. Dami has one of the most versatile voices I've ever heard. Yes, she can produce powerful vocals but to see a different dynamic of her singing, just do a search of her singing LOVE ME LIKE YOU DO and you will hear the passion that she can emote in an emotional song. She can sing pop, ballads, jazz, gospel, classical, rock, disco, contemporary... etc. Besides singing in English, I heard her sing in Korean, Chinese and Japanese. Oh btw, she is a highly accomplished pianist along with playing violin and flute. She is a world class musician in every sense of the word but also a fashion model and humanitarian. No, I'm not her agent, nor Australian, nor Korean. I am simply a huge music lover who is highly impressed of this once shy girl who blew everyone away with her voice including this American (me) when she won Australia X-Factor 2013.
This is how to do it! This is only Australia's 2nd entry and they have done better over 2 years than some countries have over 20 years. It is about finding the best voice in your country with a memorable and meaningful song. This is definitely going to make the finals and I wouldn't be surprised she walked away with the title. #LuvIt
Dami, you are absolutely incredible. You have made Dannii Minogue and X-Factor proud. You have made all of AUSTRALIA proud! Sure, you didn't win Eurovision, but it looks like you've won the hearts of the world. You don't belong 2nd, you're number 1 to everyone. You truly are a winner through and through. You are a beloved icon and a powerful force, yet you stay sweet and humble. Stay beautiful, stay true. Stay you, Dami. - Love all of Australia
in this video her voice is awesome but during the contest her voice was detone. Live performance is the real. It's so easy to create miracle with special settings in studio.
Australia takes it even more seriously than most of European countries, they deserve their participation. They contribute to a better contest and the rest of the countries should compete at the same level instead of complaining.
what are talking about her new album The Classical Carpenters has just gone Platinum 2 singles have gone gold this week she leaves next week for a tour of Africa goes back to AUS. for a short rest then heads off on 34 city tour till dec. 20 home for an xmas break then on Asian tour and this is all after a tour earlier tour of Singapore Hong Kong Beiging add India and that is a life of being musically dead you should research for more than one second before making dumb statements her air miles could last 20 years to small minded people
YAY go Australia!!! I'm so proud of dami! She has come so far- I can still remember when she auditioned for the X factor in 2013. Best of luck! Australia loves you!
ta piosenka powinna była wygrać na konkursie no ale cóż, stało się inaczej! Mimo to wielkie gratulacje i wszystkiego najlepszego, pozdrowienia z Polski
I heard this song as a Eurovision advertisement and I spent all my time seeking it out, this is just beautiful, the lyrics, music and vocals work so well!! I hope to hear a lot more of this great artist
I feel like the fact that finally someone put a quality song in Eurovision is more shocking than the fact that an Asian Australian very nearly won it. This girl does our country proud.
I love reading the comments. I'm an Aussie and I love Dami. If you are worried about her stage presence or how she is on stage. Search her up. She won The X Factor a few years back. Watch any of her performances and trust me. You have every right to want Australia out of Eurovision. I would be scared too ;)
+Gordon Chen I am from Canada and I watched all of her performances from the beginning. I truly they didn't choose her at first because she was Asian and she forgot her lyrics one time but she pick herself up and finish the song amazingly (she was very nervous before she started to sing Jolene). Other contestants forgot their lyrics too during the competition too but they didn't get send home. How bias right?
This girl is amazing in both voice and message. Her songs, 'Without you', 'Living Dangerously', 'Alive' and 'Speak up' have touched me like no other songs in decades. Her second album is in my cars player as I write this. No matter who tries to claim her, Korea or Australia, she belongs to the world now and I, being from America, can not be more thankful.
she is one of the best singers i heard on this yet,her vocal range is way up there with sam bailey and mariah carey and celion dion, hope you win this Dami, good luck from Canada
+rick frizzell sorry but Croatian singer Nina Kraljić has much stronger and better voice. Listen her live performance at The Voice Croatia. Wicked Game, Sto Te Nema, She Wolf and many more. She has voice like a lot of other singers but Nina is special.
+Lana Brekalo sorry I beg to differ. I've listen to croatia sing and her vocal range and power is nowhere near Dami's vocal ability. watch Dami perform purple rain week 2 of 2013 X factor and you will see her vocals and the sheer technical difficulty of the song is unmatched by anyone in this competition.
sam bailey lol, and even mentioned first. Not that Sam isn't a great singer and could be as good as them, but still lol. At least you should have said Leona Lewis
As a European and follower of the contest for, like, forever, I still feel that this singer with this song and this performance should have been the winner that year. Pity.
I think she should of won not just because she is Aussie like me but because she's korean/Australian which is amazing to be proud of representing your country..multiculturalism and she has been pushing YEARS after her factor win to make a name for herself. I guess in a way she's won, i can't think of a more deserving beautiful spirit.
Agree, she will be going to Uganda this week to see her 9th Sponsored child. Started sponsoring kids when she was 17 or 19, well before she became famous.
I turn the radio up every time this comes on. Let's not focus on whether she should or should not have won; Dami did us Auzzie's proud. What an amazing woman.
Why do people make such a fuss about Australia being in the contest. At the end of the day Israel is not in Europe and Azerbaijan is more Asian than European, so whats the big deal. Even 3/4 of Russia is located in Asia, but no one seems to batter an eyelid to that.
+Charlie Harrison Why?! Because it is a EUROPEAN CONTEST! I do not agree with any other counties participating other than European ones, otherwise don't have EYROVISION any more, but have RANDOM COUNTRIES ONLY SONGS IN ENGLISH COMPETITION, because right now this is what it is. As for Russian and Turkey, which are both in Europe and Asia - I don't see the problem, they still are part of Europe. All the other ones....no freagin' point.
+lilserbogirl4eva well by 2036 there are totally gonna be other countries and if you don't like it then don't watch it what if they fucking change the name to worldvsion and Eurovision needs new contestants to expand Eurovision and more viewers so what are you trying to say?
noah Boy I am saying LOGIC : Eurovision = competition of EUROPEAN countries. Period. Who said I didn't like this song? Wtf yo, it's in my 2 top favs! But the idea is fked up. Called a fn world competition and then do whatever the f you want, but this is ridiculous and senseless.
I get the goosebumps everytime I listen to this song... The lyrics, the melody, the vocals... Everything is perfect! Australia, you definitely have my vote!! Good luck from Greece💘
+Sotiria Lazaridou - *I caught myself singing humming it at random times of the day. it's a quality sound wow. It got stuck in my head so i am bak here again*
+Elenmous Mous Thank You Greece, Ms Dami Im Is Our Favorite Too :-) Thank You For Your Positive Comments On The Talents Of Ms Dami Im :-) Please Share The Video With Your Friends. Please Help Us Support Ms Dami Im. Thank You And Hope You Have A Great Day :-) #DamiArmy #DamiIm
Dami is a phenomenal singer, I remember following her all the way through x factor in 2013. This song is fantastic, but I would like if the bridge was a bit stronger. Like her range is massive so she could do so much more with the end of the song. But apart from that I think it's brilliant
+Jack O Donovan I'm sure Dami will re-tweak this Song for Finals & as always make it EPIC..Remembering she made this MV within a few days after being announced as Rep for Australia...Now she's got the next 2 weeks to work on it & as her Fans knows, she'll "DamiTise" the Song.
SailorEarth VWCTheWhitePearlMermaidPrincessSLeKatJa We already know she's got a completely different stage set-up to MV, Dami said herself. The male dancer won't be there also & she said theres going to be a Surprise..& knowing SBS & the budget they have, I'm expecting a spectacular stage production.
I would like if they took what is the chorus and make it the pre chorus and then went into a much more powerful chorus and I agree that bridge wrecks the momentum of the song. It really feels like it's building up but then leaves you with blue balls when it goes back into the slow verse.
My winner this year! Australia, I'm impressed the song is very catchy. Top 5 this year: 1. Australia 2. Poland 3. Spain 4. Cyprus 5. Finland best regards from Poland
Let's all keep this video at the top and make sure Dami gets the recognition she so deserved!

+Dawid Ziemba Oh yeah
+Dawid Ziemba This song was dull as anything. Should've got nowhere near 2nd place. Belgium, Spain, Russia, Italy, UK all were better.
+wanderer10k it's a question of taste. I'm from Belgium but still Australia's song impressed me much more.
+Dawid Ziemba definitely!

I don't know why but I disliked this song so much just because it's australian and now I love it.
How this didn’t win is beyond me. It’s one of the best entries of all time.
I didn't even know that she hasn't won!?
1944 won
Because 1944 was better
No this wasn’t very original like at all
she was not a favorite with either the audience or the jury. 1944 was the favorite of the jury, and Sergey was the favorite of the audience.

+Diego Morales Ethnically she is South Korean but she is actually an Australian citizen; she lived their for most of her life.
+Diego Morales well a Australian Artist has already won Eurovision more than any other artist. Heard of Johnny Logan... He's Australian.
+chrisLopez471 He's actually Irish!

Great singer with a really strong voice. Good luck from Poland.
Amazing song. My Top 5. Good luck from Poland
Ale Szpak i tak lepszy :)
Filip Dorman no wiadomo ale mamy małe zagrożenie 😂
Dami, I was at your first audition for the X Factor in Australia. I was studying abroad there at the time. I can just remember thinking to myself, "Gee, I hope she gets far in the competition." I'm so glad that I bought a ticket to that show. It has truly been wonderful to watch you grow as an artist!
Come to the USA
Maybe the winner of the Eurovision should be based upon the number of TH-cam views...then the REAL WINNER would be revealed...THIS 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
hahah. totally!
+Darren John Calvert then france wouldve won..... haha
+Darren John Calvert Amir is in the lead actually(you tube views) ..so France if you take a look
its not on my screen really haha
amir is still in lead 10 + mill lol either way is a win ..
I can´t believe that one of the BEST songs EVER in the Eurovision is from AUSTRALIA!?!
Australia and Dami Im RULES forever!
this song deserved so much better!
twice 💘
+Aisha Osman Chaeyoung B)
+Chaeng ster ikr
Ukraine won wtf
+Arrows Cool Sutch a bullshit
It was a crime she didn’t win
Dami Im is a gorgeous girl with a powerhouse voice she reminds me of Celine Dion with her phenomenal and incredible vocal skills
in this video her voice is awesome but during the contest her voice was detone. Live performance is the real. It's so easy to create miracle with special settings in studio.
The live performance sounded even better than this video and is the reason she almost won.
And both of them from eurovision🤗
Love this song! Greetings from Latvia!
+Botanist Sveiki no Melburnas!!!
+Bronte (BBear) :)
Oo, savējie :D
O, latvieši
+Botanist 8==D
One of the best songs this year! Greetings from Romania!
De obicei nu votez la concursuri de genu', dar sigur o voi face anul ăsta pentru Dami ^^ e mult prea bună ❤
Australia takes it even more seriously than most of European countries, they deserve their participation. They contribute to a better contest and the rest of the countries should compete at the same level instead of complaining.
The true winner of the contest ❤
THE WINNER 2016. POINT.
yep
point
+Samba Joyy Truth she is also rocking the charts in Europe, i don't see Ukraine anywhere :D
+Silver Fullbuster Now she´s number one, now she´s musically dead! That´s how it works!
what are talking about her new album The Classical Carpenters has just gone Platinum 2 singles have gone gold this week she leaves next week for a tour of Africa goes back to AUS. for a short rest then heads off on 34 city tour till dec.
+Astrid Livitsanis #DamiArmy is here :)
I really lover her voice!! She should be the winner!
ta piosenka powinna była wygrać na konkursie no ale cóż, stało się inaczej! Mimo to wielkie gratulacje i wszystkiego najlepszego, pozdrowienia z Polski
i love this song, it represents how culturaly diverse Australia is. Win it for us too! love from New Zealand
I met her today. She is such a lovely and friendly person with a powerful voice. Go Australia :)
BRAVO AUSTRALIA!!! THE BEST SONG !!! THE TRUE WINNER !!! (from Armenia)
The only Eurovision song from this year that I keep listening. Thumbs up!
I cant stop listening to this great masterpiece!!!
She must win!!!
Australia is the light in this competition, they bring that modern touch! I hope they stay 😆
Agree 100%
+Jordan Jones Exactly. They are bringing quality into Eurovision.
I heard this song as a Eurovision advertisement and I spent all my time seeking it out, this is just beautiful, the lyrics, music and vocals work so well!! I hope to hear a lot more of this great artist
In which country did you hear it as an ad for Eurovision? :)
+scbananaslug11 Maybe it was Australia as its an ad on the TV here!
+scbananaslug11 I heard it in Australia ^^
I have attended Eurovision for the last 6 Years, in the arena this was by far the greatest live performance I’ve ever seen.
Australia, a famous european country
+grimilde112 Just like Russia, Israel, Turkey .
We have a Union Jack in our flag so we are are a European country
+Mithras Revisited Russia is actually an european country
lel just part of the commonwealth
They are Brits with accents.
I feel like the fact that finally someone put a quality song in Eurovision is more shocking than the fact that an Asian Australian very nearly won it. This girl does our country proud.
Wow, haha! After just a few seconds of the chorus I knew that this was the winner of Eurovison 2016. Freaking GREAT Australia!
she is the winner!!....
100%
SADLY SHE LOST
oh my Jesus she is really amaizing.
i love all her songs.
voice,attitude are the best.
My favourite song this year!! Well done, Australia. 12 points from Greece (Ellada)
Australia is sending amazing songs and they haven't expercience in eurovision. You're great, love from Spain!😊😊
+EuroSpain98 Exactly :p
+Rob P.R. Cap Thank you,but she had a bad live,at least I knew her after eurovision! Where are you from??
+Rob P.R. Cap Oh,you're lovely,kisses friend 😘😘
DAMI..........
The most beautilfull EVER,...!!!
Best wishes from beautiful Croatia!
I'm staring at her and heard. She sings gorgeous and she looks unreal cool. Good luck to Australia. Greetings from Russia.
This beautiful Korean girl, from Australia should have won European song competition! ;)
Is she the first asian to compete in eurovision?
No. Guy Sebastian, a Malaysian, competed for Australia the year prior. Anggun competed for France and is Indonesian.
Yass she was sooooo goood live too 😍
You know that neither Korea or Australia is in Europe yes? With other words, she had little to no chance to win.
Are you dumb? After the jury voting, she was the HUGE FAVORITE to win it all! Odds were close to -500.
One of my fav songs ❤❤
I love reading the comments. I'm an Aussie and I love Dami. If you are worried about her stage presence or how she is on stage. Search her up. She won The X Factor a few years back. Watch any of her performances and trust me. You have every right to want Australia out of Eurovision. I would be scared too ;)
Remember she didn't make to the X factor top 12 or 16 until a contestant has to give up his place. Fast forward to now ... Wow.
Amazing Song. Amazing Woman. Amazing Sound. Soo charismatic Woman. I love her. 😍 12 points TURKEY ❤️🇹🇷🇳🇿
+EurovisionTRKY Harika Cok Guzel saval
+Dami Army World

Is not the Australia flag , it's New Zealand flag 🇦🇺
my favourite song!😄😄😄
καλο
+MARINA KALOGIANNOPOULOU my too
+Lambertus Mastop rubbish!
+MARINA KALOGIANNOPOULOU l think australia won't pass at final >:)
+MARINA KALOGIANNOPOULOU me too :D
This girl is amazing in both voice and message. Her songs, 'Without you', 'Living Dangerously', 'Alive' and 'Speak up' have touched me like no other songs in decades. Her second album is in my cars player as I write this. No matter who tries to claim her, Korea or Australia, she belongs to the world now and I, being from America, can not be more thankful.
Love it a lot should have won keep it up 💕💓💝💝💝💝💝
(Germany)
+Tessa Hughes I liked Deuschlands song but I agree
But not in Creole.
+FlomagZüge what
she is one of the best singers i heard on this yet,her vocal range is way up there with sam bailey and mariah carey and celion dion, hope you win this Dami, good luck from Canada
She is the winner!!!!!
Started sponsoring kids when she was 17 or 19, well before she became famous.
she didn't win in any way. UKRAINE won.
The real winner.
This should have won! Was definitely the best song of esc 2016
Really?? Then why people voted it all the way down to number 4??? And that's definite.
wieslawl59 it's just my opinion :)
Exactly!
+lilserbogirl4eva "Eurovision" is a business name buddy. Does not mean countries outside Europe can't compete
+blognewb lol...thats what the fans know as Dami addiction.....lol
RESPECT!
My favorite!!!
Good luck from Greece!!!!!!!!
2015 was the year I was overly obsessed on listening to Dami's songs and performances every single day. She's just amazingly great!
This clip does not set anything in stone. We'll have to wait for her live performance to see how she'll do.
+Jack O Donovan i want to see collaboration between Bliss n eso and Dami Im
I would like if they took what is the chorus and make it the pre chorus and then went into a much more powerful chorus and I agree that bridge wrecks the momentum of the song. It really feels like it's building up but then leaves you with blue balls when it goes back into the slow verse.
My winner this year! Australia, I'm impressed the song is very catchy.
Top 5 this year:
1. Australia
2. Poland
3. Spain
4. Cyprus
5. Finland
best regards from Poland
Thanx!!! Poland might be the winner this year
Australia is the winner for me
For me too 👍🏻
+borrelkip
Did you like ukraine?
+Ελενη Ελενακι yolo no, its not what i like to listen ..
What about you ??
συμφωνω απολύτως 😉
+borrelkip
NOOOOOO.Ukraine won( not for the song) for the story behind the song. For me Dami is the winner and the BEST. And no I'm not from australia
Sound Of Silence = S.O.S.
She's genius! Love the song, the lyrics, the performance, the singer, the video.
ABSOLUTELY WINNER EUROVISION 2016
The winner for me.
Honey, she LOST. Millions of people voted her out of top 3. Stop fooling yourself.
Dear, is just my opinion. I'm not fooling me, I liked this song more than all the participants, including my country. It's all.
Yes she is the winner!!
I fell in love with this song after the first 15 seconds of listening... 12 points and much love to Australia from Russia!!!
Many thanks! Good luck Russia and love from Australia!
+Artem Kuchiev There has been a lot of love from Russia, and I'm sure you'll send some votes our way this year! xx
The best ever!! Please come back DamI to Eurovision!!!
So fresh and modern. I love Australia's entries so much
***** I agree!
