13:45 - I think Jack just wants to bring down Woodes Rogers, no matter the cost. That's his only goal at this point. And if Jack has to give up pirating or returning Nassau to British rule, he is willing to make that sacrifice at this point. Hence why he said, "Charles Vane is dead."
I’m also #teamflint - I admit he is... very selfish and backstabbing, to say the least. But in the story his is the more compelling story. The character is absolutely epic, and I fully understand his motivations. But honestly, if I lived in their world I would be team Jack, his objectives are the least murderous of all and benefit the most. One of the best series of all time, I stand by it.
i think it depends who you are in that world. if you're white then jacks plan of moderation and living under the radar is probably more appealing, but theres a reason the people most vulnerable to the british empires evil (the maroons, flint, etc) are committed to an anti colonial revolution. It makes perfect sense and i love that for the show
14:39 I've watched multiple reactions and read a lot of comments, yet no one remembers that the spanish spy contact says to Mrs. Hudson to add someone to the trade indicating Rackham. It wasn't Mrs. Hudson adding Jack to the trade on her own.
3 more episodes left Rick, not 2, although still not enough regardless. This show is SOOO GOOD and I'll miss it again once it's gone from this channel. It has been a great couple of months rediscovering this most underrated gem with you guys.
I think Billy gets way too much hate from most of the fanbase, but I think that's just a testament to how great Flint and Silver are at convincing everyone, including the viewer, that their way is right. It's hard not to root for Flint/Silver because they're the coolest/most likeable characters, but I've come to appreciate his character more after re-watching the series
S3E07 It is the episode where Mrs Hudson and her handler, Grandal, spoke about having to return the Urca gold to prevent the Spanish from attacking Nassau hence Spain only demanded the gold to be return. It was Grandal who hinted on also giving Jack to Spain as a means to both appease Spain and "protection" for Mrs Hudson's children. Mrs Hudson probably just mentioned she made it up at this point as it was easier to not tell explain Grandal's deception to Rogers when Rogers is angry and depressed over losing Eleanor.
Finally caught up with you guys. Been watching the reactions after each episode. It's been one hell of a ride. I must say, some of the best damn tv I have seen in a LONG time.
I believe the Spanish informant told the handmaid that the Spanish are proud people who would want something extra to ease their anger. Woodes is annoyed that she made the decision that the extra thing would be Rackham when she should've given him the option to either give something else as the extra thing or the option to give nothing extra at all. She made the decision for Woodes in order to maximize the safety of her children, while forcing Woodes into a terrible situation of handing away Rackham and betraying the promises and fragile alliances he made with the people of Nassau, kick starting the internal revolution of Nassau and the rest of the events up until this point.
"I got to pick a side". No, actually you don't. And you shortchange yourself from fully enjoying the show when you have such of a binary view of heroes and villains. This is a show where each person has their own ambitions, motivations, and justified emotions. Just because they conflict with each other, doesn't mean you have embrace those of one character and negate the other's. This isn't childlike cartoons. The writers intend for depth for each character, so try to enjoy the show keeping that in mind.
*Billy Scene... "You turned on them" -Wrong "You got a bunch of slaves killed" -Also wrong It's amazing how the characters of Flint and Silver can convince viewers to be on their side as well lol
Honest question, why is it wrong? I'm not arguing about the "you turned on them" because that's something that's depending from which point of view you see it. But Billy knew that slaves from other plantations would going to be killed. The others wanted to look for another way to get what they wanted without risking the lives of the slaves but Billy didn't listen. He wanted to do the original plan, knowing what it would probably cost. So he is responsible up to a point.
Flint has been a failure at everything he has tried from the start of the show. He is a charismatic madman who talks people into following him and then fucks them over when his bad plans fall apart. Billy has ever reason to hate Flint. Silvers has ever reason not to trust Flint. In the end Flint could have been a great leader but he let his hatred and all consuming desire for revenge ruin everything for him again and again.
100% better than Kuroko. Most people have it as a top 3 sports anime with Slam Dunk and Hajime no Ippo. About MHA, by the time they finish S3 it will be like only a month before S4 so they won't be done with that for a long time
Jack's impression of Max was one of the funniest things in the whole show.
Jacks funny like 24/7 lmao best character in the whole show
I wish she had done one of him, while he was in the middle of one of his ego trips.

Jack does not know that all those pirates joined up with Flint. His last knowledge was all they had was Flint's ship of a few pirates and all is lost.

Love the vid
You had skipped the scene between Max and Mrs. Guthrie. Why?
I'd like to see your guys reaction to falling skies if you have not seen it yet

Maria Jay it's my favorite sci-fi show, and I think they all would have a great time with it especially Eric 💯
