In this video titled EU4 - What if EVERY NATION Existed in 1444? we take a look at what would happen if Every Nation in the world existed in 1444 / what if every nation existed at the start of EU4. In this video i used a mod that releases literally every single nation in EU4 and as a result more than 900 nations are present on the map. As you can probably guess this scenario resulted in some pretty funny shenanigans. Obviously you would expect that usual nations would dominate, but did it really turn out that way? This whole run was controlled by the AI only without my interference and it yielded some pretty interesting results to be honest. So, after watching this video you will know what would happen if Iberian Regions were united in 1444. What is the next "What if" scenario that I should do? Leave a comment below! The save file is available for all Tier 1 and above TH-cam members in the save-games Discord channel.

Bigger nations also tend to have more claims/PUs in their mission tree too, to guide the AIs expansion. I'd guess that plays a huge part.

I think missions have a strong effect on AI strategy too. Plus a lot of the conventionally strongest countries have good ideas and unique governments. (Non-lucky Bengal can do really well with just its idea set I think.)

One of the things I find most interesting about this scenario is that 4 of the biggest bois at the end (Portugal, Bengal, Cuba & Lubeck) are very colonisation / trade heavy in their national ideas, which kinda goes to show that it doesn't matter if you get higher morale of armies when the other guy can afford to hire literally every merc company in the known universe.

What a strange coincidence. Earlier today I was reading about ancient horse breeds and relatives of the ancient Nisean horse and was reading about the Ferghana Horse breed which was nicknamed the heavenly stock by the Chinese that imported thousands of them en masse since they were able horses. Anyway, I had never heard of Ferghana until today and coincidentally, I also find out Ferghana is a nation that exists in EU4 through this video

Since you asked for predictions, I think Naples is a super strong contender as they received a few indirect buffs to conquering all of Italy.
They're free from 1444, allowing them to start blobbing early.
Sicily is also free at the start of the game so they don't have to fight Spain for it.
The Pope does not control their entire northern border, so they can actually expand north without committing diplomatic suicide
They also didn't lose any provinces like most of the major powers did.
After that, maybe mamaluks since they lost nothing and start as a great power.

Don't know if you've done a video on it before that I haven't seen but you should check out The Snap mod (still seems to work in 1.32) it basically deletes half the countries in the game at random then gives all the ones left over a colonist. Is pretty chaotic and if you use the option that deletes all the large/powerful nations you get some pretty whacky outcomes.

Well, lets wait another 50 years.
But i found out, if you are planning as Brandenburg, and has prussia at least under a pu, an imperial incident can happen, to add prussia to the empire.

15:44 wouldnt call it a bug, more that once you form a federation nation by finishing reforms, you can then enter and create other federations, adding "the (nation) federation", so reforming new federations after already, its still following that, so it becomes "the ("the (nation) federation") federation", because your name is already "the (nation) federation"
so example, cherokee forms a federation, adding "the federation" around it for naming, the cherokee federation unites, then forms a federation with another nation, and just like before adds "the federation" around its name, just that its name is the cherokee federation, so it results in the double
entirely following coding, so not bug, more like oversight
unless its instead just naming it that without it which then i have no idea why, maybe it just doubles the process in one go, which then would be a bug

    • @Alex_Fahey
      @Alex_Fahey 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Yeah, it seems that they just forget to include a line of code saying, in plain english, "don't add "the federation" to the names of already existing federations when they form a federation."

Hey man, kinda late to the party, but I've been rewatching your videos and I just wanted to say that at the end there, one way you could've checked what nation colonised and gave independence to and birthed Cuba was by going into the Cuba country tab and hover over the culture section. The AI never changes their primary culture, so whatever shows as their primary culture there, will be what culture they started with.

Help pls : I have the latest version of eu4 on steam (Mac), and there is still no interesting mission trees for most of the countries. Like only the main ones have their own mission tree (France, Castile, Ottomans…). Does anyone has the same problem?
