Pagan witch here. It looks more like medicine than a house protection charm to me. Perhaps someone living in the house was using a medicine that they wanted to keep secret from other members of the family. Who knows? Consider salvaging what's left of that beautiful barn and make it into a kind of post-apocalyptic-chic outdoor kitchen area with a creative shade sail. I just finished gutting my tiny house bath (toilet leaked and ruined everything...so I just pulled everything out and started over. Lived with the same composting toilet you have, and I'd totally live with it as a permanent solution if I had to. It's amazing that you don't really even smell it if you care for it along the way. GO ANTHONY! You're a beast. (P.S. Floral mural = genius! I'm totally with you...add color and creativity throughout...that's what makes a house appealing).

You deffo need to buy crowbar, also called a wrecking bar, pry bar or prybar. And the bulgarian word/s "kozi krak". It will help you a lot more than the hammer for many things.
Also a club hammer to make demolition work much quicker/easier 😀

I think these was left by the builder for good fortune and prosper of the owners and the house.. But Im not sure. I know old builders had that habbit but dont know what they put in the walls
