About the Women's World Olympic Qualification Tournament
The FIVB Women's World Olympic Qualification Tournament will take place in Japan and doubles with the Asian Olympic Qualification tournament. The best ranked Asian team and the top three ranked teams will qualify for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

I just like how KOR and THA show their friendship. Korea showed their high level game as one of best volleyball team in the world. And we also couldnt forget about how THA team put so many efforts against KOR, and they did it. In volleyball everything just can happen. Congratulation to KOR, even though they lost the game against THA today, but they got the significant target to take one of four ticket to Rio for sure. And lets support THA to take theirs chance either. I support KOR team, but today I saw how KOR team, esp Captain Kim Young Koung put so much respect to THA and show that both of them are really good friends, I also support THA to get ticket to RIO. Fighting!

What a wonderful 3-2 come-from-behind victory by Thailand over South Korea which will help erase the memory of their unfortunate loss to Japan. Thailand started by leading in all sets even though they eventually lost the first two after spirited comebacks by the Koreans led by Kim Yeonkoung. But the golden-generation of tenacious Thais, boosted by outstanding cutie setter Pornpun (who scored six or seven points, no mean feat for a setter) and the beautiful spiker and middle blocker Thatdao, kept up the pressure as Korean spirits were faltering. The Thai coach was at his best behavior which helped to calm nerves. This match had the fewest challenges so far which attested to the commendable respect both sides had for each other and their impeccable manners. Thailand still needs a convincing win against Peru to silence doubters.
Thailand is such an inspiration! Such a wonderful team!

Japan are in Olympics by getting one point despite their 2-3 loss to Italy. Thailand will play for pride and national honor against Peru tomorrow. The result won't matter as the Netherlands, South Korea, Italy and Japan will be going to Rio.
+Darvid Koh That is really sad because most of Thai players will not get a chance to go to Olympic again with this crews after these player have been waiting for over 12 years or maybe more because they will retire soon and this is just the last chance for some of them. I think this match is a legend forever. Our Thai team fought as best they could, even though the score was 2 sets behind them, but through their cooperation, they had hope and were able to catch up and win through their efforts. ❤🇹🇭

It's funny how Thailand could beat Japan and South Korea almost regularly now but would struggle to beat the top European teams, USA and even China, when the tournaments are played outside of Asia.
