In-N-Out Burger is 75 years old so they held a huge festival, car show, and concert at the Los Angeles County Fairgrounds in Pomona. This video focuses on the car show which featured 700 entries. Everything from classic cars, muscle cars, lowriders, antique autos, and other vehicles of interest.

Exactly, who would've thought car show videos would become a thing? Recently, the organizers of one local car show told me I could not video their show unless I became a paying sponsor because they were convinced car show U-Toobers are getting paid big bucks (I am not even a fraction of being close to being monetized on U-Toob)! I did not video that car show.

I did pay to enter my van for this show which wasn't cheap, but I figured I'd make back the cost. It's good to have my vehicle at fairground shows to keep camera gear, water, chair, etc onsite without having to go out the gate to access them. Some organizers of shows have asked me to come film their show and I have been thanked by others who get the promotion brings them extra entries and spectators at future events. I always give thanks and announce when I get a press pass or a comped entry since it really does help keep the costs down. Getting in early also helps me get better shots, thus making for a better video. I don't mind paying the regular admission fee to get into shows that have them, but thankfully I've never had any organizers demand over that amount. I'm not making anywhere near big bucks, but a majority of my videos do make a profit. Several of my videos where I travel out of town for shows wound up not making back the costs, but I enjoyed the trip.

Enjoy your videos and your commentary. Would it be possible or too much more work for you to film without any sound and then add your comments and play by play while you are editing. It would avoid the annoying cacophony of bad music in the background which also messes with your video?

I tried that once, but I find it comes out better if I do the commentary while filming. It’s also odd to not have the ambient background noise.
