I increased mileage of my elite i20 petrol from 11 kmpl to 13kmpl in city after following your advice. Yes we can't drive i20 like swift, but when I got adapted to it, it's great. Moral, Driving Maruti doesn't necessarily mean one can efficiently drive Hyundai.

Like if i c that 2-300 meters ahead there is a jam or signal or its my destination whr i need to stop completely I put my car in nutral mode n let it roll freely. I usually do this on circles, trafic signals, speed breakers, expected stopages which are 2-300 meters ahead. But I always make sure that my speed never disturbs other traffic. I want to know that is it harmful for gears or any part..!!

Hello Gagan Ji. I just bought a new Hyundai Creta 1.6 Diesel. I usually drive between 1250 - 1750 rpm, and shift gears accordingly. I feel that within these limits my car drives at fairly easy load on the engine. But the car's manual says that during first 1000 kms cars rpm should be between 2000-3000 rms. I feel that this would put a lot of pressure on the engine. I am really confused what to do. Please suggest.

I always shift gear as per gear shift display that is around 2000 rpm and do not do harsh braking. I also use engine breaking. I take all the cautious steps but my car when non ac gives 11 when i drive really really careful. I do not do idling. Please please reply please
I always try to shift gear on the basis of sound.. it is not very safe to see tachometre every time ... :)

rev limiter (red line) rpm par shift krne par performance sahi hoga car ka. Your car produces maximum power at that point.
