Nice video and simple to understand . The mileage improves after few thousands of kilometers and one of the reason is because all moving parts even though machined and polished for best smoothness , they still have imperfections and high spots . These high spots wear off only after the engine has run for few thousands of kilometers and this also includes the transmission and gear box. Hence after around 5000kms to 10000kms the mileage improves. The moving parts are treated to wear off very slowly and this smoothness or mirror finish is achieved only after 5000kms or more. Overall nice videos . keep up the good work

Sahi kaha mere bhai. Meri elite diesel sirf 15 deti thi but ab 18 de rahi hai not coz of 4th service but coz of change in my driving habit...
He is partially right... It's not that 10k oil change is recommended due to engine running... It's a special grade engine oil that holds its properties upto 10k kms
Good knowledge shared about procedural memory. Initially I had Maruti Alto and now I have Tata Tigor Icng... I am driving in same old fashion. Hence my avg came down for Tigor.... Thanks...
I totally agree. When I drive my elite i20 on highways, I get around 15 kmpl and in other hand when my driver drives, it gives around 11-12 kmpl.

You advise is appreciated, however most of the cars are mass produced and all the moving parts that come into contact with each other are manufactured on highly pression CNC machines, however, it is good to run in the engine for at least 5000 km after which the the engine should be flushed with flushing oil and change the Mobil oil and oil filter, the owner should buy good quality semi synthetic or regular Mobil oil from genuine authorized dealer and make sure that the same is replaced in his presence. After the running in period and change of oil one should "break in" the engine, that is, to take the car for a long drive on the highway and drive at 80- 90 km/hr for 500 plus km. this will make the engine free and smooth and also remove the accumulated carbon in the engine and exhaust system.

Mere doston ke pas bhi Tigor, Tiago aur Altroz hai, jinme same engine hai.. Lekin koi kehta hai 4th gear me 45-50 ki speed me best deti hai.. to koi kehta hai 5th gear me 75-80 ki speed pr jyada mileage milta hai..

Each time you change some parts,
Run in is required for the part in question... Clutch plate assembly or brake pads or discs are examples.
I am getting almost 30+Kilometres per litre in my Hyundai Verna fluidic.
Quality of parts/ tyres/ Engine Oils and how frequently you choose to change your air filter also make a lot of difference.

Car ke manual ke hisab se, Car ka first service me engine oil change nahi hota hai.. infact first service me kuch bhi change nahi Kiya jaata. Jaise aapne bataya ki agar kuch problem hai toh usko theek karte hai..
2nd service me bhi oil change nahi hota hai...
Lekin 3rd service Jo 10000km ke baad ya fir 1 saal baad engine oil, air filter aur kuch parts change karte hai..
Toh kya car me 3rd ke baad mileage badega?

गगन भाई मेरी बाइक के साथ ऐसा नहीं हुआ फर्स्ट सर्विस पर कोई भी इंजन ऑयल चेंज नहीं हुआ है मैं बजाज एवेंजर क्रूज की बात कर रहा हूं 220 दूसरा पॉइंट कार का एवरेज पढ़ने वाली बात जो आप कह रहे हो मुझे ऐसा लगता है फर्स्ट सर्विस से कोई मतलब नहीं है कार चलने के बाद इंजन ट्यून हो जाता है या पार्ट्स अपनी जगह बना लेते हैं अच्छी तरीके से जिसे आपने देखा हुआ नई गाड़ी का इंजन बहुत जल्दी गर्म हो जाता है लेकिन पुरानी गाड़ी का नहीं इसी वजह से एवरेज पर फर्क पड़ता है या नहीं 3 से 4 1000 किलोमीटर तक इंजन टाइट चलता है मुझे ऐसा लगता है शायद इसी वजह से एवरेज कम मिलता है

Buddy,I'm going for 2017 (After February- Now) i20 elite Asta model (no alloy wheels).. {not Asta(o) },from Hyundai Dealer here in Hyderabad @ exactly 8.10 Lakhs.Buying this Week Only/ONLY/ONLY because it has REAR A/c Vents and Android Auto with Rear View Mirror functionality....Do you think its wise,or should I go for DZire/Baleno(no rear AC) ZXI/Zeta (only Petrol variants including elite i20).....One thing I noticed in Engine specs is that i20 has more Power than DZIRE/Baleno (same engine,right?) almost by 23 ps..Can we really feel it while driving??? Engine Power is useful on bumpy roads with pot holes right....The only con I'm worried about is Alloy Wheels.Are they worth it...?????...Volkswagen Polo Allstar also comes in the middle.....What should I do....I can go upto 8.30L @ best....ANY THOUGHTS.....????

This is true. My activa 125 now gives a mileage of 55 kmpl on highway when I drive that. This isn't the case when someone else drives.

Many car manufacturers do not even start the engine before pairing it with chassis. Many a times there is a high chance, a new car gets delivered to customer with less than 10 km total drive. Only a sample of total engines are tested in factory by running it on test beds, not all.
No manufacturer changes the engine oil in factory. None.
About break in period, I would like to point out that even Ford recommends first 1000 miles. Can be found in owners manual.
