I made this video for those who wants to visit Chandigarh and who wants to stay here as well for those who have moved to other places.
Chandigarh also known as ''City beautiful''
Apart from being the capital city of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh is the first planned city of India. ... Apart from the city's architecture and buildings like Capitol Complex, High Court, Secretariat, Legislative Assembly and giant Open Hand Monument, it is also famous for its clean roads and greenery.
The word Chandigarh literally means Chandi Garh or Fort of Goddess Chandi - a name derived from a temple situated nearby in Panchakula.

Studied at DAV College in 1969-70. It was a clean and less crowded city. Population used to be 1,50,000. Now it is 12 times. We used to go around on bicycles. Very nostalgic memories..

@@maulisdayout I want to come because of Sikhi and Sant Mat, I was initiated by Sant Thakarji, do you know anything about the meditation centres there? I am in Australia and it's very materialistic, it is very hard to be here honestly, we were in Bali when the craziness started and had to return here. We are deciding where to go once we have enough saved again.

People for the most part look tall and very noticeably taller then what Wikipedia reports for the average height of India. Must be alot of average height differences from some regions of India vs other areas of India like with southern India vs northwest India. In the USA these very dark skin Indians, who come from southern India regions are noticeably shorter on average then us European Americans but these Indians from northwest India are at least as tall on average if not slightly taller on average then us European Americans. Remember seeing 2 Indian brothers walking around at a mall in Harrisburg, PA with them having physical features very common to Indians from northwest India and both of them looked atleast 7'0".
Also like other Indian cities, encroachments, disruptions etc! Dirt and dust! Plus, fungus and fallen leaves all along 😢

According to me The best areas are sector 8,9,10,11,15,16,19,20,21,22,23,24,26,27,35,36,37. Rest it depends upon the place of work as people prefer to live near by area where they work.

Chandigarh is no more the cleanest city , because many more city in India have surpassed this status and doing better. This is not going to improve in the near future because the influx of labourers have created a mess in every sector and the city administration is silent about it .

I am from Pakistan. I recently visited Islamabad and after watching this video I was stunned that Islamabad and Chandigarh are so similar to each other in terms of urban planning.

Yes , Chandigarh is a good city , u can get market in every sector and many offices are here for IT and Non IT person . It has beautiful roads and road rules are strict here which helps to drive smoothly. As well as very good schools are here. And prices of accommodation is also adorable

I agree.. I lived in Chandigarh 12 years ago and now living in Delhi NCR. This video clearly tells that Chandigarh did not develop at all... no flyovers, no concrete footpaths, no good markets or malls, just poor infrastructure which they call as planning. I would call it as failed planning. Where is the development and modernisation ? And people are so filled with ego and show off that you can't even stand them.
@@maulisdayout I studied at PU sector 14 main campus and lived their in hostel for 4 years from 2004-2008, Chandigarh was so clean and pristine that time, now it looks overcrowded and filthy like any other Indian city. Garbage everywhere, it was not like this 15 years ago.
