One thing that keep bugging me is that it is the only few mc signature cards that dont get new support. It as iconic as dark magician and blue eyes, being the "under dog" ultimate monster that can destroy everything, Gandora to Yugi is like Dark magician to Atem. Even black skull arch fiend dragon if it’s attack is boosted higher chaos max . Black skull effect while it attacks prevents other effects from activating. It depends how the game is going how the players uses the cards. There are ways to get around those negate effects with other. Cards that also negate effect. Some are battle specific or only apply to the card itself so they by pass even chaos max dragon effect. Personaly I don’t like using decks that uses copies or repeats of the same card. It makes the game to easy for me. I enjoy wrapping my brain to get around those chain effects. It’s frustrating but satisfying when you score a win. There is a card called mirror dragon. It copies the attack of the attacking monster during battle. Since the card applies to mirror dragon. It’s a good counter for obelisk . Since the effect is not targeting the god card.
I find it fascinating that in YuGiOh Sevens, Asana's Summon Chant for her Maximum Monster, Wyrm Excavator the Heavy Cavalry Draco, was based off this chant of Yugi's. "Cry, resound, oh dragon of black steel! Sunder mountains, gouge the earth! Spread your Heavy Cavalry Way across this flattened world! Maximum Summon! Wyrm Excavator The Heavy Cavalry Draco!" Theres something that i find quite intriguing in Asana as a reflection of Yugi Muto in Sevens, specifically a Yugi separated from Atem. Maybe Yuga would have been more like her without his own Atem in Otes in the way...
When I saw this dragon for the first time in the cinema, I thought it was a ritual due to the magic card and the violence that Yugi imposed on his own voice while saying the prayer to summon this monster.
Apparently Gandora was based on King Ghidorah from Godzilla. Gandora also kind of sounds like Ghidorah even though I'm not sure that was a coincidence or not. Gandora was supposedly a play on the japanese pronunciation of dragon, which is "doragon."
Kinda funny when yugi with spellcaster monster deck summon dragon type against opponent with dragon deck Its more like that yugi admiting dragon monster type has a stronger base attack damage
i like to believe that gandora is yugi's true ace and DM is atem's true ace. My reasoning for this is that in the context of the duelist kingdom arc, it was kinda hinted that yugi was gonna inherit his grandfather's blue eyes(until kaiba ripped it). So yugi having a dragon ace like gandora somewhat fits that initial thought of yugi having a blue eyes or a dragon ace. DM is atem's ace because Dark magician is mahaad and mahaad is a loyal friend to atem. In the final arc we see mahaad soul fuse with his KA to become the Dark Magician. You guys can fight me on this, i just how i see it.

I know that you have to cut your life points at the end of your turn due to the effect of gandoras ability but does anyone know of a card that prevents your life points from being cut in half ? You can put 8k attack monster on the field turn 1, use Gandora-X's effect and immediately kill your opponent. By itself Gandora X is terrible.

Gandora destroys every other card on the field and gains x300 attack for each, he self destructs at the end of the turn. He can't be special summoned and to activate his effect you need to sacrifice hald your life points, he doesn't scale to any monster on the field

@@oni-Kira you sacrifice two monsters, it destroys all cards on the field (except itself) and gets300 atk for each card, at the end of the turn it's summoned it self destructs.
How's that any better than chaos emperor?
Special summon via banishing two cards in your GY and for paying only a 1000 LP it wipes the board AND the hands of both players and deals 300 DMG for each one, it's objectively better in every category

Gandora burns for the highest attack monster so it might get 4000 or more attack monster
Chaos emperor is limited to 1800 at the most
@@oni-Kira Chaos emperor burns for 300x each card on the field and hands of both players, if both players have a full board and 5 cards in each hand that's an easy 9000 DMG.
Gandora destroys every other card on the field and gains x300 attack for each, he self destructs at the end of the turn.
He can't be special summoned and to activate his effect you need to sacrifice hald your life points, he doesn't scale to any monster on the field

Chaos emperor burns for every card sent to opponent is gy so limited to 4800 not 9000 and can attack so 7800
The gandora you are talking about is different one that the one in the video
The one in the video burns for the highest attack monster on your opponent's field and gains attack equal to it
In the video it was 4000 so he gains attack of 4000 equals 8000
