Every time I have traveled to Atlanta I have used MARTA to get from the airport to my hotel and use Peachtree Center station. This station has a very unique personality all of its own and that one of the reason I stay near the station and like to call it my home station in Atlanta. Yes I will be returning to Atlanta and using Peachtree Center station. I am also an Australian radio host and have interviewed a few music artists from Atlanta and I always ask them if they have run up the down escalators at Peachtree Center MARTA station. It always gets a good laugh.
Just going on the video since I haven't been there myself but Peachtree Center vaguely reminds me of the Market East Gallery in Philadelphia - same concept; an underground rail station connected to a center city mall.
It is my belief, as the METRO Atlanta combined statistical population continue to change in the direction of people of color majority, that more suburban counties voters and taxpayers will continue to expand the MARTA Transportation system into more metro counties.The city of Atlanta, Fulton county, andDekalb county voters and taxpayers voted to join expand MARTA transportation system in late 1970s. CLAYTON County 's voters and taxpayers voted on November 4, 2014 to join and expand MARTA system into Clayton county. I see Gwinnett county's voters and taxpayers voting to join expand the MARTA system into their county in the near future. May God Bless and guide the remaining Metro Atlanta suburban counties voters and taxpayers in choosing the best long range regional public transportation system for the METRO ATLANTA REGION so help us Lord 🙏 God bless 🙌 .
