My Biology teacher never taught us how to focus a microscope. The first time i touched a microscope was in 11th grade and i was so proud that i could see some black spots on the slide only to realize that i was zooming into the dust particles the whole time. It was so embarrassing but thankfully almost everyone who was working on the microscope for the first time was as clueless as me.
