You might want to try throwing a Glimmer Bairn in there. It's a pretty innocuous 1 drop, that can do some serious work if you have a bunch of spare tokens lying around. 🙂

As the commander states "permanent card" and tokens are not considered "cards" as per the rules for tokens: "A token isn't a card (even if represented by a card that has a Magic back or that came from a Magic booster pack). 111.7. A token that's in a zone other than the battlefield ceases to exist. This is a state-based action; see rule 704."

If you go the descend route with the commander your slimefoot, the stowaway wont ping for damage besause the commander makes fungus tokens
