  • Whatever transcribed version of the theme song is .... put it here. Didn't think the show would live up to the hype, but it exceeded it. Such an incredible way to distill decades of comic story lines into a digestible format. Follow us on all the things.

He already worked on season 2. It’s season 3 and 4 we have to worry about. But I also don’t wanna give him the sole credit because he didn’t do this alone. Those other writers, directors and animators deserve their credit too. And it may still be good without him. Only time will tell. I loved this show. Didn’t grow up on the original series, but I’ll go back and watch the other seasons. I haven’t been this excited by the MCU in a while. I hope they keep it up. Thanks for the review. I wish this was a live but I’m glad we didn’t have to wait long for your review.

That is a very good point. DeMayo didn't do this alone and we need to highlight all the people who worked on this series. It was an amazing achievement and honestly one of the best shows of the year. Let's hope that the show can maintain this level of excellence in the coming seasons. This was an awesome reboot!
The thing I loved about this show is you didn't need to watch the original series or even the comics. This series stood on it's own and made you care about all the characters. You came in not watching the original series and was right there with us on the edge of your seat week to week with me! I also liked that no villain was just bad without a reason. You could identify with all of them. Well maybe no Sinister but it is hard to sympathize with a dude who calls himself "Mr. Sinister"!
      X-Men Forever!

I loved reading the X-men and Daredevil comics growing up in the 80's as a young kid looking back now as a 50 year old man today, i had bags and bags of paper grocerie bags of great fulfilling stories to read and get excited about everytime i went the comic book store and see a new issue and old issues that went back further to look at in curiosity to see what the franchise and character or characters were all about, just amazed how comics have came soo far and now want to re-enter them at this older age as well.
I will admit i do own the fox collection of Xmen films not saying they are great 2 or 3 of them are. But I'll tell you that Oscar Isaac actor that did Apocalypse did i fine job bringing out a sort of presence of Apocalypse for what it was in that particular fox Xmen film.
Xmen 97 itself was a breath of fresh air Gold of excitement to see, great presentation of them, the Xmen and other great comic book characters as well 👏

I fell off with comics throughout my lifetime. I went through phases where I stopped collecting but I always came back. So I get it when you say you want to get back in them. Trust me my wife would rather I didn't based on how much comics cost but I think I will be a Wednesday Warrior forever.
I couldn't get into the Fox X-Men movies. I watched them. I owned them (then sold them) but I will say they finally got the story right when they did First Class. That relationship with Magnus and Charles was perfect. I felt that brotherly love and the betrayal. That was the first movie where I was like "ok this is my X-Men". X-Men 2 was good too but First Class made me feel like they finally got it. Then Logan came and I was like ok they are on the right path then BOOM no more X-Men movies. This show made me feel like all isn't lost and these characters are going to enjoy the spotlight and people will fall in love with them like we did when we were kids.

    This series was AMAZING!
I Like the X-Men films for what they are, a generic movie but I don't really love them. I did initially get upset at some of the films at the time, but I was also glad we got something at all. However, they were NEVER the X-Men, just X-Men in name only. As a completionist, I do own all movies on Blu-Ray for my Marvel section of my home server.
I remember watching the 90s series and liking it, despite the not so good animation. This series has given me the definitive X-Men experience that I imagined whenever I read a comic. This series showed the potential of what a true adaptation can be. I love this series and cannot wait for season 2 and the Age of Apocalypse.
Wolverine I like but hated how the films were all about him.
Storm was the GODDESS that she is!
Morph was fantastic, they were a great way to sneak in cameos.
Cyclops was the leader he is.
    Jubilee and Sunspot were adorable.
Beast is Beast, he is always great.
Jean Grey/Madelyne Pryor/Phoenix showed how powerful she is through different aspects.
Nightcrawler was beautiful as he teleported in combat.
Magneto was so damn impactful with his powers and speeches.
    Gambit was glorious.
Rogue, they gave my girl Rogue the respect she was due compared to the always screaming/crying little girl from the movies. When Rogue screams, "His name is Gambit, remember it!", I was in tears.
My favorite characters are Rogue and Storm. I hated how they were done in the movies but loved how they were treated in this series.
PS: Seeing all the other heroes and villains in random cameos in different episodes was fantastic.
    PPS: Magneto was right.
    "Excelsior!"

No notes. 10/10 comment. Agreed with everything you said. This show gave me everything I needed and made me feel like I was watching my comics come to life. Every character was given their spotlight and no one overshadowed the TEAM. Ahem looking at you Fox X-Men with making it all about Wolverine!
One of the best things about this show was seeing Storm as THE goddess. Now everyone is like "oh that's why ya'll was mad when they casted Halle Berry and not Angela Bassett"! LOL! She was EVERYTHING we needed on screen!
This show is my #1 show of the year.
      Magneto was right!
