    Thank you for tackling the pot-in-pot recipes. I’ve had the same set of pans for a while and you’ve boosted my confidence in being able to use them more frequently and with greater versatility.

    Next time, try using parchment on the base only. To stop it sticking on the sides, grease the pan & then pour white sugar into the pan and roll it all over the sides. Like you would flour a cake tin. It really stops the edges from sticking x

    Hello! I received an Instant Pot for Christmas and I have to say it is one of the best things I have ever received! Since I have had it, your channel has become such a staple for me. I don't think that I have used my stove since I started using the Instant Pot, and ypur channel and you recipes have made that so easy for me! Thank you!

    Hello Indigo Nili! You are the "Goddess" of Instant Pot cooking and you never cease to amaze me with all your very helpful and informative videos!! I have 2 metal stackable insert sets (Wolfgang Puck and Cooks Essentials {QVC}) just like the one you used for this 2 cheesecake video and have never used them. Now I have a use for them as I love cheesecake and your method/recipe now gives them a purpose other than being 'dust collectors'!! Thank You so much, I feel Blessed to have stumbled on this great video!! Keep up the great and excellent work, and please, don't get a 'day job' as we Instant Pot users would be lost without you!!! God Bless You and Yours!!!!!

    I used a casserole dish lined with parchment paper,wet the paper to form inside the dish leaving it uncut so l could use the paper to lift the cake out of the dish. Used the first place winners recipe ,absolutely delicious,firm,dense,easy to top with fresh mango mixed with a little jam to glaze the fruit. Be sure to use a paper towel to blot any moisture that accumulates on the top

    I love the Ekovana pots- used mine last night, made pineapple chicken breasts in one and white rice in the top one - came out perfect and the pots are so easy to clean. This company also sends you recipes and has their own website, which is helpful in learning how to use them.

    • @rcole6679
      @rcole6679 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The breasts weren’t tough or rubbery? I’ve read that only bone in chicken cooks well in the IP. I tried cooking breasts in ours and they were on the tougher side..disappointing. Maybe a longer cook time would work.

    Hi Nili, just noticed this video (Jan. 9) and so happy because I purchased the Ekovana pans and haven’t tried them yet. They are quite expensive here in Canada ($48) but look like very high quality and I was very impressed with the company as they sent instructions and several recipes. I don’t have a cheesecake pan yet so will try this method. Thanks again Nili!

    Hi Indigo, I just made my first Instant Pot Cheesecakes. I thought I would ad some tips. I found that the cheesecakes fit in traditional fruitcake tins. I cut, put on topping, cover with wax paper, turn upside down with wax paper and plate, then put bottom of fruitcake tin over cake, turn upside down with plate again and its loaded into fruitcake tin bottom side up. This way you can freeze as is or turn upside down onto fruitcake tin lid and serve as pieces needed. Does that make sense to you? Should also be able to use those plastic containers from dollar tree just seal in a 2 gal Freezer bags and stack.
    These would be great Christmas gifts, you could make them up a few at a time, freeze and gift.

    Warming the pans over a burner for just a few seconds will help release the bottom of the cake when flipping out of the pan.

    Just make them with 4 oz wide mouths. We don't make crust but leave them an inch low. One piece lids go on and are backed off one full turn. When done pour any topping you like on it like cherry or peaches strawberry sauce. Put lids on tight and store in fridge. Eat them right out of the jar.

    • @michellegranier2401

      I’m very interested in this method with the 4 ounce jars. I’ve only had my IP less than a week and have been researching cheesecake videos. I’d really like to make separate ones as I have a gluten allergy but my family doesn’t. Hence my stumbling upon this video. Would I be able to use these stacking pans with the jars or would that create too much pressure? So new to this and trying to learn all I can. Thank you in advance for any information. I’m loving these videos.

    Evening Nilli, I have these pans and used your recipe. My result is my question. The thickness of cakes was not there, only about 1". What is the cause? The crust and taste was perfect just the rise of cakes. TIA

    • @IndigoNili
      @IndigoNili  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The thickness is just because the pans are bigger in diameter so the batter is spread out more. If you want a thicker cheesecake you can do one and a half times the recipe. Cheesecake aren't supposed to rise much.

      I think they would rise more if you separated them with no covers to cool in refrigerator. It will set better as well.
      I made the mistake of covering a single cheese cake from instant pot in refrigerator in order to cool mini cheesecakes on top.to cool. It left my cheesecake too soft and not firmed up as when not covered in refrigerator while cooling. Too much condensation from the covers

    The pots may be fine for dinners, etc but a big pass on the cheesecake situation for me. Swapping the cheesecakes close to the end, then waiting for new pressure build up to finish, then what a pain to remove those cheesecakes. Nope!!! Two cheesecakes, two proper pans for me, I would rather bake in two separate pans. but thanks for showing us how they work, or rather how they don’t work. Im not a fan or fooling around with parchment if I don’t need to.

  • @kinglord5429

    I was looking into them but people have reviewed that some have split which i find kind of had to believe. I did see a set on amazon that has a hole by the handle to release pressure buildup. I have made 6" cheese cakes in my air fryer but not PK yet, swirl some jelly into the batter. How about a pork stew with potatoes,carrots,onions and use apple juice for liquid then thicken to a sauce.😁 how you didn't use one whole piece of PP to act like a sling making easier to remove

    Why do you use a instant pot for this? wouldnt a oven be better?

      You can avoid toxic aluminum foil in water bath in oven.

      @@pattijesinoski1958 - With these pans no foil is used. With a single pan or oven proof glass dish, we can cover with the parchment paper, instead of foil.

    Use a plastic knife so you don't scratch the pan!

    I used the two pans with the handle and my lid got stuck!! Husband came to the rescue and finally freed it. He thinks the handle covering the two pots caused the problem I almost lost dinner AND my Instant Pot! Has anyone had this happen?

      Yikes! I haven't run into that problem myself!

      Was there any water left in the bottom when you finally got the lid off? Sounds like a vapor lock from too little water.
