In things you maybe "missed" is using the whiplash against the Leviathan boss and grappling it, you straight up fly to the air. And it's also a game where you can parry sooo much things (like the Minos Corpse's fists) and parrying in this game really feels satisfying. Plus it's easier than in Dark Souls or Elden Ring. Not to mention that it also HEALS you ^^
Also, I really recommend the two videos on this game by Max0r. However, the second video will spoil you what's in the "P-Room" you saw at the end of act 1 (that you unlock by P-Ranking all the levels of act 1). Otherwise, really recommend them.

Something really funny that you missed in 4-4 is that, now if you throw a coin, V2 will try to shoot your own coin. Logically, you can shoot his coins too... Nice way to add stuff into the same fight :)
P/D: I hope you do the secrets, level challenges, P-Ranks or fight the secret boss... There's a lot of content that stills intact :)
If you shoot V2's coins when they're red (idk if it's this specific but I noticed it when I shot the coins as they were about to hit) you get the style bonus "counterricoshot"

And if you shoot the red coins with the railcannon you get an UltraCounterRicoshot

There is a big possibility that the ferryman in 5-2 is not actually a Charon, but a Phlegyas. Ultrakill takes a lot of inspiration from The Divine Comedy, where Phlegyas was the one who ferried Dante and Vergil across Styx in the wrath circle
also, there are many ferrymen in the Ultrakill universe. It is hinted that every blue skull used to be a ferryman (idk about the red ones tho). iirc it is said in the bestiary a ferryman steals a boat from another ferryman, and uses its predecessor's skull to traverse Hell

it’s not strictly based off the divine comedy, only inspired by it in certain areas. don’t use the divine comedy to try to figure out anything in this game
@@Kkbleeblob Bro, the nine layers of hell are directly ripped from Inferno/Divine Comedy. While Ultrakill changes it a lot, that's what it is at its core.

10:33 That is a design technique that they actually teach when studying Level Design. It doesen't really have a set in stone naming convention necesarily but is often called things like Funnel/Reveal. It is done intentionaly and is something often thought about by designers as it's an easy way to make areas have an impact out as well as just "wow" moments. Something I've also learned is how things like this can work to mimic the emotional state you want a player to have like having to go in a small narrow corridor in a horror game where you would subconciously feel more trapped since you would instinctually set yourself escape paths for if something was to come at you.
The door with all the P Ranks in Act 1 is worth the time, definitely recommend doing it when you pick this game up again

To be honest, I enjoyed watching Myth get dunked on by Gabriel 2.
I figured it would teach him to use the Feedbacker for parrying instead of spamming it up close for extra damage.
So many weapons and mechanics ignored unfortunately.
Still, if he does plan to go for the P rank door, he'll have to learn to really get good.
Yeah and that extra damage isn't even useful because all guns do enough dps that you wouldn't even notice an enemy dying faster by adding melee to the mix
i p-ranked minos without ever learning to parry! definitely the noob way but it is super possible

Yo Gabriel's voice actor is actually amazing and I feel like that probably goes underappreciated in a game like this.
@@DOG_EATER_1887 Oh okay awesome then. This is my first exposure to this game and it's community and I just assumed that the voice acting wouldn't be as "noteworthy" considering the game is foremost gameplay focused.
He's got a YT channel, look up Gianni Matragrano! He did a whole of really cool meme voiceovers, and now is focusing on his VA career.

Marksman Handgun can toss multiple coins and then shoot one for huge weak spot damage, not telling you how to play but Id sure love to see it maybe once, still great that you're doing the series im really enjoying it
I never really noticed how well the leviathan is animated

Unlocking the p rank door is an amazing challenge that ends up with an amazing reward for completing it. Also, this game has tons of tech that you can learn that make it crazy consistent to be op.
There is still more content you haven't seen: 2 alternative weapon variants and a super secret, super hard mission.

Seeing someone mention the Attack on Titan Tribute fangame really gave me a lot of nostalgia, good times, and great game, and also amazing anime.
You saying "I hope I can grapple enemies" AND THEN PROCEEDING TO NOT GRAPPLE ENEMIES AND SHOOT THEM FROM A RANGE WITH THE FUCKING PISTOl, infuriated me beyond belief
Loved this series! Whatever you do next with Ultrakill, recorded or not, I hope you have a lot of fun with it! Yeah there's more secrets, weapon combos, and the Cyber Grind, but as long as you have fun, just do what you want and play how you want. It's one of my favourite games, and I'd hate to see people have their fun ruined by being told what to do and how to play it.
Also, although everyone's saying the secret boss is really hard, you probably won't have that much trouble with it. People like to hype it up. Considering how well you've been doing in the game so far, I wouldn't be surprised if you beat it in just a few tries. Just don't expect too much difficulty from it. Took me 50+ tries the first time (took one guy 800+ in about 5 hours of attempts), but some people can beat it blind in as few as 2 or 3.

The violence layer has been added, and every weapon is actually in the game now if you wanna continue this. There is a fucking chainsaw shotgun now.

I’ve got just about 30 hours in the game (not much but still) and so I’ve looked up and learned tech plus figured out my play style. Seeing Mythy evolve in nature as a player and coming up with his own strats is so interesting

There's this mobile game called Flow Free that's just endless levels of the puzzle game you played at 36:13. It's a great way to kill some time and becomes a little challenging once you reach the larger 10x10 boards and up

You missed the secret and strongest boss, to unlock him you have to go through the door in 3-1 that opens when you P rank all of the levels of act 1
Seeing you not using the whiplash in 5-1 makes me live in agony
You should give "dead estate" a look, it's an isometric rouge-like and it's pretty underrated
I tried beating FP with just the piercer and it's impossible (for me, maybe the people that regularly go above wave 40 in CG can) So hopefully he actually uses other guns

At thid point im conviced that your brain is wired in a different way, everyone i saw playing and me when palying where spamming the whiplash, figuring cool combos with the coins and be constantly dashing around with Ctrl
ironically enough trying to get more secret level exits ends up skipping a lot of the enemy introductions and the tips that pop up when you see them lmao
Don't like backseating, but you should try using more of a variety of weapons in boss fights, like the 5-4 fight is fun with nailgun and shotgun added into the mix, for when you are going for P ranks and harder difficulty.
Also rocket launcher when he does a full auto.

You should play their game "DUSK" as well. Ireally enjoyed playing through it and they have a 3rd game that I can't remember the name of exactly but they're all great doomer shooters
i really love your videos of ultrakill, it's one of the things i'm always looking for to watch. but it's really hard sometimes to watch because i never know if you read the part in the tutorial about parrying, sometimes it looks like you read it and sometimes doesn't... anyway, it's just me with my problems as a ultrakill player, really looking forward to the next video with the secrets and all that was missing
you should maybe think about trying to find those roman numeral buttons in the first couple worlds, its a secret

Now, to become the ultimate ULTRAGAMER. If you love the bosses, you'll love P-1. It's well worth it.
The game isn’t on console, but it does have controller support. In fact I’m a controller gamer. The only part of the game I feel that isn’t built for controller is V2, I can keep up with everything else even P-1.
I saw the gameplay of a guy playing with controller on TH-cam (sadly I don't remember his name) and he's really good at it, without assists even

You can whiplash skulls to pick them up from far away and also when your holding a skull you can send your whiplash at a pedestal to place it down from far away
It will never cease to amaze me how you managed to not read the whiplash tip about enemies.
That last puzzle was very similar to a puzzle game called the witness (very good), and the level name was even a reference to it, in case you want to do more puzzles like that

there is a secret boss for doing all of the pranks. and as someone who has done all the pranks and the boss twice it is a very fun challenge and a very fun boss. i would definitely recommend it if you think it will be worth a video or two for the channle. any ways love the content and the vibes keep it up
