Thanks Olli!!!!!! I haven't notice the postshot had updated this function before! It's so awesome to have a more complete process in one application but no need to switch between different softwares. I'd like to appreciate for you always giving the latest information and tutorial about 3dgs. You really help a lot!

    Thanks Olli!
It's literally gotten to a point that when I realize you've uploaded a video, I drop everything else to watch it 😂
This is also exactly what I've been having issues with. Let's hope the Depth Limit Selection Tool will be overhauled in the future - as it largely still only offers a rather crude hit or miss experience

Have you tried using 360 equirectangular images for the interiors scenes?

Thank you for the video. I've only just downloaded the latest version of PostShot. Still playing with the variables to get the most out of it. I'm very impressed with what I have seen so far. Especially as this technique is only about a year old. One question I do have is that during the model building there are obvious points that can be cleaned up / deleted before the final Splat process. Is there a way to do this?

I find it very difficult to clean up splats in this way. You would need a second camera to keep checking whether you have caught too many splats that you might not want to remove.
At the same time, it is also one of the best methods. Basically, you can say that splats are not particularly easy to clean.

is there a way to export back the same exact original camera motion once adjustment has been made to the gsplat model from postshot. appreciate the help

    man you are the best❤
just wondering if you have two 360 camera + full frame camera with 14 mm lens how would rig everything together for 3d gaussain splatting?😅
I saw of one of the videos using a stick with multiple camrea points on different direction and place on different highest .so I was wondering what if you use two 360 camera + full frame camera with ultra wide lens

If you have multiple PLY in the scene it will select (and delete) them whether they are hidden or not. :(

    My mother is terminally ill.
My first postshot of her was flawless. After the updates, I can't get it to track camera properly on any of the videos. I'm using insta 360, fixed FOV and tracking the subject.

If it is possible to train model for some iterations after removing floaters. In theory that woud improve the quality, as training should not produce new floaters and instead spawn new gaussians near the surfaces.

Great content Olli! But perhaps you should stop referring to the 3D Gaussians as “splats”. “Splatting” refers to the rendering technique used to display the 3D Gaussians and has nothing to do with them as individual objects. Perhaps check out the original paper “ 3D Gaussian Splatting for Real-Time Radiance Field Rendering” to understand better the terminology and techniques :) I can’t say I fully understand everything after reading it but its fascinating none the less. Keep up the helpful videos! Best of luck

Yeah. Thanks for the feedback. I have read that paper and I'm still also pretty confused about it. What comes to the correct terminology and how to use it I just used splats as they are mentioned in Postshot GUI and documentation. There are several mentions of splats and it is also pretty common word in community. But for "Splatting" you are right. It is as a verb a method which describes the rendering technique.
