I just watched your video today, so I ended up making it for dinner. I didn't have chicken thighs, so I just use chicken legs and I added mushrooms. We had rice and string beans on the side. It was real country in my house for dinner 🙌🏾
You've reignited my passion for cooking! I got burned out from home cooking so I have been relying on my air fryer and pressure cooker for quick and lazy meals, but now I'm back to making real meals/food and loving it, all thanks to your channel. Thank you AB!
I made this a couple nights ago and it was delicious!!! My family thoroughly enjoyed it, even the daughter who doesn't like leftovers. She was eating it again the next day. Thanks AB!
AB, this is a fantastic rendition of what my grandmother made. Scratch everything!!! I live in Idaho now so it will be potatoes instead of rice. Probably gonna throw a little greens in the side. Thanks for the memories and the fresh ideas. Keep on Crushing in the Kitchen 😘
Thanks AB your smothered chicken reminds of how my mom would make is special for me with homemade biscuits for my birthday every year at my request. It felt like home then and now.
There used to be a mom- and pop-owned restaurant in my San Francico neighborhood that specialized in Southern cooking. For $14, you could get two pork chops, two fried eggs, grits, collards and hash browns all smothered in gravy. Delicious and enough to keep hunger away for the rest of the day! I couldn't have afforded to attend college if it weren't for this cheap and filling breakfast.
Happy Sunday Morning . I wouldn't add any thing extra to the gravy . Chicken and rice, cornbread greens and Black eyed peas . That's my Southern comfort food . Thanks for sharing your recipe .
Everything that you cooked to make that gravy it really looks excellent. The only thing little different that I would have added is some garlic that would’ve took it over to the top. I appreciate the way you cook and keep up the good works.

If your gravy is little runny make a slurry. Add a teaspoon of flour or 2 to cold water and stir. Then slowly add your slurry to your gravy to thicken it up
