Pulled a weedwacker off the sidewalk . Guy said it will not stay running ! I found the spark screen in the exhaust blocked , primer bulb cracked and fuel lines need replacing . Did all the work and sold it for $75 ! I wish more people would run these things full bore and take better care of them
2 stroke bicycles were really common when I was a kid in Germany. Back then they were mounted on the front wheel and used a friction roller to push on the tire. It was an easy way to get around Berlin.
Bre, you are such a good person giving back to your friend for giving you the bike. Total respect and appreciation for all that you teach us on your channel 😊
When I was working in Hutchinson Ks. a guy used to ride by the house every morning gettin it on one of those things! Could hear that sucker a mile away. 🤣 Used to give me a chuckle every morning and was an excellent back up alarm clock lol
I built 3 of those. They are lots of fun. The kits i got recommended 16:1 mix but I wound up running 50:1 synthetic mix and they all ran just fine. I even pulled a trailer with mine. There used to be a forum for motered bike people. You can't not smile when it fires up.
Early on in the video when you describe the two repairs you repeat yourself. Use the shorter version unless the longer clip imparts critical info. You rock!
Great work Brie as usual! I like how you fixed the machines so professionally for Dwight for free. He will enjoy the machines as you enjoy the bike, but you will have more fun because the bike will work for you to enjoy some leisure time. When I was a teenager I knew a teacher that had at least 1/3 of an acre of lawn that needed to be mowed. She told me that her husband passed away and had a motorized bicycle, and if I mowed her lawn 3x then the bike would be mine. She supplied the 22 inch self propelled mower and gas, plus big gulp sized drinks for me when I needed it when mowing. The bike was a German made single speed with 26 inch tires with a Fuji precision machinery 2 stroke 50cc motor on it. The drive motor rubber pulley would have friction drive against the edge of the back tire rim, and with the pull of a lever it would be engaged or disengaged. It had a off green tank with the round eyeglass at the bottom to view if gas was getting out of the tank. It ran like a top and when changed over to mount on a Schwinn 20 inch (3 speed) banana seat bike it was even faster! It would outrun the mopeds of that era!! So much fun, but the rubber drive wheel would slip a bit when the rain was getting on it. So much fun and I observed (enjoyed) many curious stares and compliments. My dad the machinist was very surprised that the Fuji motor had 1 brake horsepower. Good times and good for cooling off some as a kid in the summer in Kansas and always fun to ride it.
Bianchi makes a fantastic bike frame!!!! I had one back in the late 80s or early 90s and put untold thousands of miles on it. . That custom made Italian frame is made from the finest triple butted chrome moly and weighs little to nothing (for a steel bike). Congrats because that was at least a grand just for the frame back in the day. Never get rid of it ( Unless its to me:)
I’ve been watching for a few years now, and if you can believe it I’m cheaper (frugal) than you! I’ve enjoyed all of your videos that I remember. Keep up the great work!
I always enjoy your videos but that squeal of delight when you took off on the bike was priceless! You were like a kid at Christmas! I hope the hubby is doing well.
That bike is a amazing gift. Your videos are always very good. While watching this one you were looking up at the camera. Your eyes are beautiful. That has nothing to do with being a great mechanic but just wanted to say that. Thanks for your videos.
I have that Stihl power head on a string trimmer. I’ve had this trimmer for 15 years. It always starts in 3 pulls at most! Love your channel!! I’m in south Louisiana, but if your shop was 90 minutes, id have you service all my lawn equipment (unless you’re overburdened with customers now, which wouldn’t surprise me).
Passed by Hot Springs yesterday afternoon and waved - it's nice to be enjoying the relief from the Texas heat! It was a joy to hear your squeals of delight as you tried out that great gift. I can't remember the last time I was on a bicycle, but like they say I imagine I could still manage; though, with my neck and spine issues it probably wouldn't be a good idea.
That continuous cackle of delight! At my age, hopping aboard any two-wheeler is hazardous to my health. You could charge customers $5 for a test drive around the neighborhood. Looks like it climbs hills with ease!
Well I know you hate can fuel .but I have had extremely good luck with it . I ran shindaiwa’s . I ran the can gas through t25 t27 t230 and t231 . I never had to do any carburetor work ever . My favorite 2 trimmers were the t25 and t27 ran them for years . Hope you have a great time with your bike very cool .
great video Bree, got a old stihl 024 av super dropped of monday, had 90 psi compression, fresh fuel it popped off and had a noisy crank bearing, its now apart for a rebuild, got oem bearings and seals and a aftermarket cylinder kit, sould be running by end of next week.
Nice work on those old Stihls...your ride on that motor bike reminded me of the movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid... Great ride...no raindrops falling...lol
Wow Chickanic!!! It's already been another year hanging out with you and watching your great Frustration Busting videos!! Have Fun in Louisville and bring back some more great videos! God Bless you and hubby (hope he's doing well and recovering from his hip surgery Big League!!) Cya on your next video! 🙏🙏
Thanks for the video. I love the fact that you as a woman make it look so easy to do these repairs. I as a man am learning so much from you. You and James Condon have allowed me to keep my small engines alive. Thank you so much.
I recently got an FS80R pro like the one in the video with manual and receipt from 2003. Owned by my grandfather and it still works fantastic! I replaced the filters and the plug and removed the arrestor. Runs great and tons of power with the 25-2 trimmer head or paddle power broom head
I got to ride a friend's Vespa Ciao moped around 1978 and could not stop giggling as I rode it. Then, in 2002 another friend got married and we rode go-carts at his bachelor party and I laughed like a maniac all around the track. Thank goodness I'm don't laugh like that every time I drive my car . . . anymore.
Over the last few months, I've been teaching myself small motor repairs. Your channel is by far the MOST informative of all. You explain everything in clear detail and show ALL the steps. Much appreciated. I've got several different models running properly, my favorite so far being a Baum AG, which had ethanol sitting in it for a long time. The fuel hoses were jelly, and the tank was full of sludge. What I need to know right now is what's the best method of cleaning them. I'm sure you've done one on that so I''ll have a look. 😊😊
Welcome the wonderful world of motorized bikes. I have about two thousand miles on a bike like that. Mine runs much better without an air filter. Have fun and be safe!
It is rare to see a female that wants to work getting her hands dirty wow!!! You are fantastic at fixing old stuff. It comes though with many hours of doing the same things over and over and learning as you go. I had a job like that before retirement on the railway here in Canada.
A good friend of mine did one of those bicycle conversions with a little 2 stroke engine. Worked great, however his motto on cars, golf carts, anything with a motor and wheels, etc.........."this can go faster". Fast forward a couple of months and he has a 350cc motorcycle engine on it. Looks awesome and scary at the same time.
Great video Bre. And an awesome trade. Those old Stihls were beasts! I never had one but 2 stroke bicycles were pretty common when I was young (I'm 63). It looks like you're gonna enjoy yours. Have fun. And hi to Ron. I hope he's doing well.
I've been watching your videos for about a year now. I recently subscribed to your channel because some of the information you gave helped me to fix my generator. Thank you for the information.
I've got Trek mtn bike with a Subaru Robin 34cc motor, 4 cycle. (2008 model) and a Nuvi fully variable transmission. It's sitting at my mechanically inclined son's house waiting for refurbishment. Hasn't traveled more than 2 miles since I bought it. Been sitting many years.
Your videos are so entertaining and informative. I enjoy the way you troubleshoot and repair these machines. The fact that you are a female doing this just makes it better. I love to watch girls tackle jobs like this.
I made one of those bikes years ago and I still have it. I remember the controversy about the fuel mix being 40 to one or Chinese recommendations of 16 to one.
So you have not ridden a bicycle since you were 6! Great Job.
That is a Fantastic Gift on both sides.
Your joy at finding a clean piston reminds me of Christmas.
Pulled a weedwacker off the sidewalk . Guy said it will not stay running ! I found the spark screen in the exhaust blocked , primer bulb cracked and fuel lines need replacing . Did all the work and sold it for $75 !
I wish more people would run these things full bore and take better care of them
What a gift. Now, no excuse to be late to school an show off your new ride. Nothing beats a bike ride to visit friends to have some fun.
2 stroke bicycles were really common when I was a kid in Germany. Back then they were mounted on the front wheel and used a friction roller to push on the tire. It was an easy way to get around Berlin.
The Velo-Solex! I had one when an apprentice.
Velo Solex....
@@mobilfone2234 YES!!!!
I rented one many years ago in Red River New Mexico that had engine mounted over the front tire. Lot of fun.
Sehr gut👍🏻
Bre, you are such a good person giving back to your friend for giving you the bike. Total respect and appreciation for all that you teach us on your channel 😊
couple saddle bags and whizzz on off the parts store better yet groc-go-getter.... Really enjoyed this one of you having fun!! Thanks Bre.....
I built one almost twenty years ago and it still runs perfectly. Never even had to clean out the carb.
Thanks to watching you one thing I have started doing is to always use non-ethonal gas in all my equipment. It does make a difference. Thank you Bri.
OMG your having way to much FUN. Loved it. You are so right that guy keeps his equipment clean . Totally enjoyed this video thanks
That was great!! Glad to see you having so much fun.
What a beautiful part of the world you live in . Loved the bicycle. 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴
Magic work. I had a FS45, great when it would start, top machine then :)
When I was working in Hutchinson Ks. a guy used to ride by the house every morning gettin it on one of those things! Could hear that sucker a mile away. 🤣 Used to give me a chuckle every morning and was an excellent back up alarm clock lol

All those years working on 2 strokes finally pays off with some 2 stroke bicycle fun.
😁
Bree I sincerely appreciate your content you are definitely a diamond in the rough. Grateful to you and your family 🩵☮️
You’ll be back on that bike before the sun goes down 😂🚴💨

Got a Stihl weed eater over 30 yrs ago. Lots of hours on it. It " Stihl" runs great.

You needed Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyrie " playing in the backround of the bike scenes.
I’ve been watching for a few years now, and if you can believe it I’m cheaper (frugal) than you! I’ve enjoyed all of your videos that I remember. Keep up the great work!
Great job repairing those small engins,Bre!😊🙋♂️
The best part of that was the giggles when it started
I always enjoy your videos but that squeal of delight when you took off on the bike was priceless! You were like a kid at Christmas! I hope the hubby is doing well.
Free motorbike is never bad 🎉

That bicycle is brilliant
That little ditty you have while working will soon be on everybodys MINDLESS whistling while working on their stuff.
Great video, that giggle was awesome.

You are a class act and one classy person.
My Son bought me one of those engines years ago ..I rode that thing everywhere in Pinellas County Florida .enjoyable engine
I love your enthusiasm! 🙂 Great video as usual! Thanks!
Awesome! I know you didn't show it. But I know you topped off the grease in the gear heads. Lol
They both cleaned up amazing 21:00 @Chickanic
You are such a cool person. Awesome video. Thanks for all you do to help everyone. Nice to see you laughing riding that bike.
You reminded me of a little kid when you took off and that bike fired up. Good stuff right there.
Great job on the two strokes. That muffler looks awfully close to your shin. That Bianchi is a great bike
First Chicknanic video I've seen where the hood on the 'vet is not up. 🙂
That continuous cackle of delight! At my age, hopping aboard any two-wheeler is hazardous to my health. You could charge customers $5 for a test drive around the neighborhood. Looks like it climbs hills with ease!
I’m 70 years old I ride my bike almost every day
You are younger than you think!
I’m sure women love to have men say they cackle! 😂
Grow up 😂😂😂
@@davidmann4533me too brother I’m 66 😅😅😅
You are a wonderful and talented lady.
Thanks for all your videos and knowledge you share!! Much appreciated!! Thumbs up peeps!!

That skull air intake cover turned my crank. Oldschool when that was just cool.
PHAT bottom girls you make this rockin world go round!
Cool ride!! Be lots of fun! Be careful of the chain on your leg.

I can picture Ron using that bike to run errands for Chickanic.
Thoroughly enjoyed this video. One of your best. I think the person who gave you the bike made out like a bandit.

Bre I have learned so much from you, You're not only a very awesome Small engine repair lady, you're pretty also.😊
I would have checked the air filter before starting. Foam air filters turn to dust in a few years.
I have an FS85r that’s almost 30 years old and it still runs great. I had to replace the muffler and the coil
Thanks for sharing this video, Bre. That motorized bicycle seems fun. 🚴
Heh. At 10:00, Bre shows that she buys these Stihl carbs by the six-pack. 😄
I made one of those bikes years ago and I still have it. I remember the controversy about the fuel mix being 40 to one or Chinese recommendations of 16 to one.
I love the classic CORVETTE and the 1968 Mercury Cougar with retractable headlights
thank you for helping me with your videos i have been buying john Deere tractors and selling them your info is really helpful
Love seeing you have fun and laughing! ❤
