I’m Brazilian and Portuguese and I’ve been to Italy many times. I now live in the US with my American husband just like you guys and I relate to Alessio so much. I also understand and love Italian culture, food and fouettés (I’m a professional ballerina 🩰) so your cheese 🧀 video was magnífico! And I’ll never forget being in a little cafe/bar in a small town watching Roma play and trash talking with all the people -the nicest people, treated me with so much love and respect especially when we all collectively started hating on Messi together. 🇧🇷🇵🇹❤️🇮🇹
"John Travolta make me, Pulp Fiction make me want to do it. That was my American dream" He's truly Americanized...they grow up so fast 😂. I mean of course Shake Shack's tiramisu shake is good, they're from NEW YORK after all! Italian capital of the US as you found out in your NYC vlogs. They started as a simple hot dog cart at Madison Square Park in 2001 before getting permission to build a kiosk in 2004, which is still there today! That's why they have hot dogs on the menu! Similar story with McDonald's! The McDonald brothers first bought a theatre to run in Glendora, CA and named it The Beacon Theatre after the famous one in NYC because they thought it would do well...this being the Great Depression, it didn't. With a $5,000 loan, the McDonald brothers started a hot dog stand in 1937 by an airfield in Monrovia, calling it The Airdome, and they targeted spectators who were watching the planes. This was a success, but they predicted that in the future, they'd need to appeal to cars. So they moved to San Bernardino, changed the name to McDonald's, and Ray Kroc made them expand. But unlike Shake Shack, McDonald's doesn't have hot dogs. Why? Because Ray Kroc thought you'd never know what was inside of them.
I’m originally from Illinois, and our favorite burger joint was steak ‘n Shake. You were never allowed to call the hamburger. It was a steak burger, and there were two steak and shakes in my near area, and we would make them our cruising joints, but now that I’m in Oregon, they don’t have any, and I wonder if they’re still as good back home.
Here's a Shake Shack hot dog fact: In Shake Shack's state of origin, a hot dog is LEGALLY considered a sandwich! Why? For tax reasons! According to the New York State Department of Taxation, a sandwich can be cold or hot and is prepared and ready to be eaten, whether made on bread, on bagels, on rolls, in pitas, in wraps, or otherwise, and regardless of the filling or number of layers. To be subject to sales tax, a sandwich can be as simple as a buttered bagel or roll, or as elaborate as a six-foot, toasted submarine sandwich. It lists hot dogs as an example. This means that for sales tax purposes in New York, a hot dog is considered taxable and thus a sandwich. Although Frankfurters are definitely a German thing, hot dogs became an American thing thanks to German immigration. Its exact origin is debated. Some say it was Harry M. Stevens who created it while working at the Polo Grounds in 1901 after running out of waxed paper. Some say it was immigrant Feuchtwanger from Frankfurt am Main who pioneered the practice in the Midwest after a suggestion from his wife to put it in a bun so he didn't have to give his customers gloves to hold them, and sold them on the streets of St. Louis. While others say it was another immigrant Charles Feltman who invented it as a convenient way for beachgoers to enjoy frankfurters without the hassle of plates or silverware in 1867 at Coney Island.
From California and In-N-Out is awesome because it’s always consistent and fresh and not greasy. They have a secret menu but other than that if you’re going off of choices, the do burgers fries and shakes. Not fair to compare with such a large menu. Shake shacks have closed here in Az and people liked it I heard but it was super greasy 🤷♀️
Thanks for the review, we are getting a Shake Shack here in RI, opening soon, love crinkle fries 🍟 LOL. I’ve never tried In and Out either😉. Take care💛
Never been to in and out, but I do have a shake shack where I live and i enjoy it. I haven’t tried the seasonal shakes only the cookies n cream. For awhile there was a flavor with sugar cookies that I missed getting that I wish I could have tried!
We just got a Shake Shack in our town. They are a little bit pricey but after seeing your video I'm definitely going to go and try them out this weekend. Thanks so much for introducing so many different restaurants to us. I have tried many of your recommendations after seeing what you had to say about them. We're in the south and have been stuck in a rut with the same 'ol food for all my life... It's fun getting out and trying new food and it gives me peace of mind hearing what you think about different foods. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with us! Love you guys! 🤌😘💕💗💕🤌🤗
I never understood why people were obsessed with in n out. When I got to CA I went straight there and thought it was EH.. shake shack is SO much better! We need a taste test now on in n out!
When I was living in Austin, TX, they opened an in/out, and yeah.. one and done. It's ok, but the little hole-in-the-wall burger places in Austin were next level.
I've tried two different I & O's here in Austin and I don't think they know how to cook a burger. Bland, tasteless meat. And don't tell me I need to drown it in sauce. Why bother if the burger isn't good on it's own?
There are many other burger restaurants in the United States. Red Robin, Culver's, Hardee's/Carl Jr's. Wendy's, A&W, Whataburger, Arby's which is more roast beef and ham & cheese. Sonic, which is a drive in. (served in your car) A&W used to be that way. A&W is known for their root beer (soda) similar to sasperala. In & Out Burger. There are probably others that I can't think of right now. Everyone has their preferred burger place.
Great video! U have to try In-n-Out. I live on East Coast and I feel Shake Shack is better than In-N-Out but In-N-Out is real good. Fries not great but shakes are great at In-N-Out. Prices are much cheaper.
You both are so sweet. In-N-Out is my favorite. If you ever go to In-N-Out, you have to find out their secret ordering tips. My daughter and I really liked shake shack also. Especially their fries and we did like their cheese sauce although it is the way you described it. My mother was from Nicaragua. My dad was American. So you both remind me of my parents. My mother had a very thick accent until the day. The Lord took her home. At 93. Miss her so much miss both of them. 🥲♥️ Please visit Brooklyn tabernacle church on a Sunday or a Tuesday but make sure that Pastor Cymbala is going to speak before you go there. And then would you review your visit there? And while you are there, you could also try that famous Jewish deli that is right down the street from Brooklyn Tabernacle. The one with the famous cheesecake, Juniors‼️😄
Shake Shack opened in Toronto this year and it was quite unremarkable despite a 3 hour line-up to get in. The signature shake here is Maple Salted Pretzel which was interesting but the burger and fries were just...OK and no smashburger here on menu or parm fries but do have bacon and cheese fries.
i have a question; after watching this video of y’all doing shake shack vs in n out; why didn’t y’all do not only shake shack then in n out? it only shows y’all doing shake shack, confused!🤔 oh by the way, i love watching your videos, it’s like you guys are so fun to watch, it’s also like you’re a breath of fresh air if you know what i mean!😁 i follow your channel now😲🙌🏽
I know it sounds strange but here in Rocky Mount, NC when I was a little girl, we use to have grills in drug stores and they made in my opinion the best “cheeseburgers”!
As a vegetarian here’s my orders (I have both where I live) In-N-Out- Neapolitan Milkshake & Cheese Fries with spread packs on the side (I don’t do onions, so no Animal Style and the fries are awful plain). Shake Shack- Shroom Burger (Amazing!) and a Black & White Shake.
I have to admit In-and-Out make a good burger as far as fast food goes. If anyone lives in Ontario Canada try The Burger's Priest. They make a version of the Big Mac called The High Priest. It has two big beef patties and the same toppings and three buns as the Big Mac. But it actually tastes so much better than the McDonald's version.
If you like hot dogs,🌭make sure you try Top Dog if you're ever in the San Francisco Bay Area... they're a UC Berkeley student favorite...a hole in the wall, for sure, but the best dogs in the country. (Their dogs are pretty much individually unique, kielbasa, bockwurst, Top Dog were my favorites... don't forget the free toppings on the counter!)
I’ve never been to an In-and-Out, but had my first Shake Shack yesterday. I was not blown out of the water, but it was good. I think I prefer Five Guys to Shake Shack.
Yeah, I've tried Shake Shack like 6 times since they are just a couple of blocks from where I live, can't say I'm a fan, the bun is too sweet, and trying to take it home the fries are cold and the burger is room temperature.
Mexican and I also think burger and milkshake is crazy. My mom only let us get sweet things after finishing our meal… I mean I understand it doesn’t necessarily tastes bad but the grease and calories going into your body and then adding the concentration of sugar from the milkshake is crazy to me. For my belly and my health.
Wow! I think theyre fantastic (from your reactions) compared with what else is out there in the fast food field. It beats the hell out of McDonalds or B/King. I loved the mushroom burger and the dog. Next time you go there, guys, just tell them to skip the truffle sauce . For the hot dog try this : when you get it home put fried onions and a bit of deli mustard on it !
I think Alessio will like the fact that In-N-Out Burger only has restaurants in certain areas to keep the food fresh as possible so there's no Frozen long-distance driving and it keeps cost down also and besides who wants a bunch of options that could all be flops when you have a simplified menu where everything is fresh and there's a secret menu you got to get it double cheeseburger animal style and if you're fancy you can even have it with lettuce instead of a bun but I forget what kind of style that's called I think it's called carnivore style and I'm not sure and you get the fries animal style I don't like their fries I think they're too thin but at least they're fresh and not frozen and they're made from real potato not like McDonald's we're in the fries are cold they're Hollow because of all the chemicals disappearing and evaporating from the hot oil

If you ever come to Chicago, you need to try gene and Jude’s hotdogs they put fresh French fries in them and is the most famous hotdog spot here! Worth the try!
I just got back from my honeymoon in the States in LA and New York and had both and I think shake shack is better but the best one is actually Jack In the Box!!
You need to eat Shake Shake at Shake Shake!! Don't you think things are better right when they are cooked? Like that cheese was at least melted when they served it but it got cold. But it is just plain cheese sauce.
In n out then shake shack and then whataburger down there somewhere. IN N Out doesn't have the variety but bang for the buck it is better. Like them both a lot. Oh forgot Five Guys great burger but out of the world price for a fast food burger.
Growing up in a Kosher home, any dairy with meat is totally gross to me, including cheeseburgers. Shakes are a dessert, they don't quench your thirst and they aren't a beverage.
People always compare the two. I dont get this. Shake shack is a high end burger who competes with 5 guys for quality and COST. IN-N-OUT is a fast food burger place that uses fresh ingredients.
I n N Out is better value especially if you are trying to feed a family , quality +value = Winner. Having said that the other burgers have caught up to and some have passed INO but you pay for it $$$$$ . Try feeding a family of 4 and there is a big difference in the price of INO v others.
No offense guys, but eating Shake Shack at room temperature and saying it taste good? The fries would definitely be cold making them mealy and unpleasant, and seeing the coagulated cheese...help,Lol. I guess sometimes what's good for the goose isn't necessarily good for the gander. Thanks for taking us along.
If you give a man, women, or a child cheapest ground beef, buns, cheese and some seasoning, that person WILL make a burger that tastes significantly better than Five Guys, and it will be significantly cheaper. In fact, I think it's impossible to make a burger using ingredients only from Costco, and make a burger that tastes more disappointing than Five Guys. Impossible.
Neither one does. I been to both and they are no better than fresh cooked whopper from bk or jacks hamburger (in Alabama 258 loctaions, few in Mississippi and like 20 in georgia ) best milkshake Braums in Texas. Raising cain and bojangles have the best chicken . . Bluewhale in pigeon forge tn have the best hot dogs and nathans in northeast. Whataburger has very good burgers . And guess what all these fast food chains will cook food made to order if you request it and only takes 6-7 minutes wait time

Me watching the video, watching the burgers get colder and colder just sitting there.

Over $12 for a burger and fries is highway robbery!

Burger King and McDonald's are dog food compared to the better burger restaurants. You will find something much better in New York.
At least your Burger King and McDonald’s are actually decent. Here I wouldn’t recommend going. But I found European McDonald’s to actually be good.

Harlem public has some of the best burgers in nyc
Go to a local burger place when you're in New York.
Got to try Bruam's mainly in Oklahoma, some in Arkansas and Texas but close to Oklahoma borders. Will give both of these a run for their money.

for Hot Dog try Ted’s from Buffalo NY.
if in Vancouver JapaDogs 😊
If you like heat you should try a hatch green chili cheese burger from the southwest. Now that’s delicious 😋
Can someone please give me the name of the intro music? 🙏🏼

Did you guys try Five Guys? That's also on the east coast. Feel that's the winner! But their fries are not as good at shake shack.
How can this be east vs west if you don’t try the west??? 😂
In N Out is going to Tennessee within a couple of years
Definitely agree with the Italians I don't drink shakes with burgers it makes me too full too fast! I guess from my Italian mother!
Their cheese sauce is 🔥
So all of this stuff is from Shake Shack? The burgers did look good and I would like the mushroom burger. But I am loyal to In 'N Out.
U should try 10k dessert challenge 😊
I love shake shack ❤
The mushroom burger actually looks good.
I n N Out is better value especially if you are trying to feed a family , quality +value = Winner. Having said that the other burgers have caught up to and some have passed INO but you pay for it $$$$$ . Try feeding a family of 4 and there is a big difference in the price of INO v others.
Alessio, you are losing your french habits in drinking shake while eating a burger😂😂😂
Don’t worry about truffles in season without even looking I’m sure it has zero truffle in it at all. All “natural flavors”
Compare to 5 -guys?
I like both In-and-Out and Shake Shack. But the price makes In-and-Out better.
I tried five guys while in South Carolina
Canned american cheese they put on crackers. Velveta would be an improvement.
how the hell can people take whatever burger home and eat it there?!
if at all i want my burger hot and fresh right away 😮
Shake shake is so very expensive for underwhelming burgers! In-and-Out burgers are delicious and reasonably priced!
I'm born Ameeican, and I consider a shake dessert, too.
We have Shake Shack in California.
They need to try Freddy’s. Their burgers are hella bussin !
Guys you gotta be fair and warm up the truffle and velveeta dips. Come on.
s I just adore the shrimp burger at Shake shack
Please guys, do a what a burger, five guys and the in n out review
Love watching your videos!
Lots of love from Mexico! ❤
Don’t forget Culver’s, my favorite
