@@KarlRock I am from Gilgitbaltistan Thanks alot for visiting our region but I feel your wife should also accompany you but I can understand about her absence and I wish Pakistan India should allow its citizen for tourism.
You have a stomach infection because you eat too much street crap💩. If you go to vegetarian food stalls or try to stick to vegetarian food, you are much less likely to get sick.
Man, I could watch hours of these types of videos, just driving through the mountains and valleys, eating at random food corners in these remote areas, and showing the beauty of nature from all parts of the World. Plus, Karl's commentary also makes it more interesting.
As an American/Puerto Rican foreigner. I am married to a Pakistani woman and live in PK on and off. I did this trip about a month ago myself drove from Karachi to Skardu with the family. Good times. Watching your video reminds me of many the spots I seen on the way to and from. Great content and love your commentary while driving. I made the same mistake following google maps for Glamps. We just called the place and they guided us properly.
Nice to see that even in the most outermost reaches of Pakistan-India, there are English speaking officials on hand and who follow passport-border formalities, human politeness and hospitality. Thank You again for showing us your trip..!
Best yet! The amount of deaths building the roads throughout the Himalayas are uncountable. My turf and 3 decade experience is in Bhutan which is exactly the story. More books, and certainly more films, should be done on this subject to memorialize these workers. Amazing sacrifice.
your intent to show all these disputed areas to fellow indians is commendable . stunning views and beautifull geography . hope to see this all some day either in this life or next one
Man, Karl Rock, I don't know when I or my family will see travel to all these places...it may not happen in our life time and it's very unfortunate. But, thank you so much for what you are doing. I am getting thrilled for sure while watching these videos but it's very emotional as well. To see you literally riding along the Indus river, is a tear jerker for me. That's where our story began, that's where all of our ancestors lived. India lost this sacred place because of partition. Our temples, our entire civilization, everything starts from there and today we can't even go and see all them. From the depth of my heart, genuinely, Thank you so much.
I have a big smile on my face throughout the video- I love the high deserts of the Himalayas! I just came back from Ladakh and I loved it so much I’m going back in February for the Losa festival and also to trek with a guide in search of snow leopard. I have a five year unlimited entry visa to India and I am an American citizen- so far Pakistan has refused to give me a visa. One day, I hope! I really want to see K2.
I feel like I'm also traveling with you. Your videos are too good. I'm from Bangladesh and I'm amazed to know the real Pakistan. Such a beautiful country.
A Hyderabad Adventure for [ @KarlRock Hey KR I'm a huge fan of your channel and I've been following your adventures for [2+]. I was wondering if you'd ever considered visiting Hyderabad, India? The city is rich in history and culture, with stunning monuments and a vibrant food scene. I think your viewers would love to see you explore places like the Charminar, Golconda Fort, and the Qutub Shahi Tombs. And of course, no trip to Hyderabad l

Gorgeous area. My heart was in my mouth while you were trying to get to the glamping site. Road tyres and deep sand, yuck. What a view from there though! Thank you for the awesome video ♥️
loving this new motovlogs Karl! Keep it up.. One suggestion: Pls keep narrating more of your stories while driving the bike. Just like talking to yourself. Wish your channel more growth!
Totally agree about motorcycle travel and it being the best way to travel. Love that you are on a small but perfect bike for the journey. Light, slow and safe, easy to repair and get parts for. I travelled the same for 8 years around the world on various cheap local 125s. 250 is probably the biggest bike I would ever travel anywhere on. Filming, and in my case blogging; sharing with others what you have seen and learned it gives you a real sense of purpose doesn’t it? Blue skies brother.
That memorial you see was a memorial for those who lost their lives building that road, just like China Yadgar. That memorial was in honour of the 7th Engineering Battalion of Pakistani Army engineers and sappers who died in accidents along the carving of the road. Just like China Yadgar where Chinese workers and engineers who died building the KKH were memorialized. I saw many road memorials too in my travels too. A token of their sacrifices.
The mountains are beautiful for sure but how anyone can see beauty in all those rocks is beyond me. I'm just used to seeing trees and greenery everywhere and to see total absence of that is hard to understand. Love the videos and the trip and the narration. God luck.
Heyyy i just thought about you now during lunch (12:00 RN in Brazil) and thought about making some samosas later - or try to - and i just open TH-cam and there's a full hour video of yours... Loved it ❤
Karl, you hit the right spot. Let the Indians and Pakistanis see each other's country. I was born in Delhi, India, migrated to Pakistan in 1947, and then came to the UK. I was educated in the UK. I returned to Pakistan to get married and settled in the UK. Now, I am 88 years old, with four children and seven Grandchildren, and I draw pensions as Both a Husband and a wife.
Hot bothered and dehydrated. 😅The amount of self-awareness 😊 Man glad to see your day turned around. Looks like one of the most beautiful places on earth
most of the people in pakistani punjab are jatts . but they dont care nor value it. what does it mean? does being jatt made you special? i was amazed to see people flouting it in india.
While it may not hold the same significance everywhere, the cultural context around Jatt identity can vary. In India, some people take pride in their heritage, just like other communities do elsewhere. It’s not about being 'special,' but more about celebrating one’s roots. 😊
However, "I didn’t mean to emphasize any social status with my comment. I was simply pointing out how he mentioned his wife being Jatt-it sounded funny/sweet to me. He probably said it to relate to the police officer, @KarlRock can better comment on that 😊
Beautiful Karl, Thank you so much for your amazing videos and also Thank you for sharing your videos with the rest of the world who are unable to visit these places. The people here seem so friendly and kind hearted. Anytime I watch your videos, I feel so at peace!! God bless and safe journey’s.

Just follow what locals say about the road condition when traveling here. Usually rock slides happen when it rains so avoid travelling when it rains in this region. Also in these areas refuel as soon as your tank is half empty, because of rock slides sometimes the supplies do not get through.
