I hope vietnamn produces more of this electric vehicles. They can't do plug in hybrids which is understandable with them having no experience with engines but I'd rather buy Vietnamese than chinese evs (chinese plug in hybrid is so tempting) to supoort southeast asian countries.

I don't mind that as I don't want to pay for a bunch of luxury features that I don't need that will only suck energy from the battery. Many of us are just looking to save money for short trips in town anyway. Sell it for around 20K CAD, and I will be first in line to buy one. The only thing this should have though is a rear defrost and wiper to be safe here in Canada--which are needed in our winter months. Furthermore, the regular maintenance items like tires, brake and suspension components are so basic in this vehicle, that it would be all super cheap to replace.

This is literally a golf cart upgrade, the most basic EV you can get. Vinfast should reduce price to 400k with battery and it will sell like pancakes. There is no way I would buy this big toy car for almost 800k.
