"NOW I can begin to live like a human being!" (What Nero said at the opening of his Golden House.)

the mosaic tiles wat da! ...and that purple colour is amazing!!
a true shame that they didn't consider damage from exposing the site to moist air.
    thank you for sharing.

It was fantastic. Tourists think Rome is only the colosseum St. Peter’s pantheon

Excellent! CAn you just add detail about the Domus Aurea’s rotating dining room?

I think Nero's rotating dining room is now believed to have been in the section of the Domus Aurea to the SW, on the slopes of the Palatine, not in the Oppian pavilion shown in the video. See: th-cam.com/video/UR1pEWX68c4/w-d-xo.html

3:00 "The fight between david and goliath." WTF. Why would Nero, or any Roman, incorporate abrahamic mythology in their design/decor iconography?

    • @KobeanHistory

Good point, I had another look into it and it probably displays a story from the Illiad where Nestor fights the giant Ereuthalion. (Which is very similar to the story of David and Goliath)

@@KobeanHistory a lot of storys are just stolen from older civilesations and just changed a litle bit and sales it as the story of God.
The storys in the bible are nothing more than some chamged myth and storys out long lost times.
The vatican is only christian because it is there money mule.
The big.churches were nothing more.than status symebols for cities
