I got my money on LRB vs Joey. This is the old school Rocky Balboa training. Building ponds with shovels under this florida 90 plus degree weather. Getting stung by wasps and all the other crazy stuff under that sun and heat all day. Lucas Balboa!!!

Nice looking summer breeder box. I'm sure it will keep the dragonflies out. Best of luck on your special, close to your heart breeding project. Hurtling from the wasps was priceless though sorry they got you. Wasp detour area must be instituted for yours and your family safety.

Damn man, what kind of wasps attack that quickly? It was funny but scary how fast that happened! Anyways good to see you're outside working on the fish, I haven't done much of anything outside this year.
I had ran my hand into a whole nest they had built on a pole out there. So they just swarmed.
Well, I feel stupid for laughing at you. I thought this evening I'd hit the local lake and do some fishing before dark. I got to my favorite spot, and I'm not sure what was going on, but I walked into a swarm of yellow jackets. They chased me all the way back to the car through the trees and stung me quite a few times.
There may have been something dead they were feeding on, or they built a nest within the last week since I had been there. Good thing I'm not allergic. I left my window rolled down a crack, and they literally went into the car.
3:14 Why not use schedule 20 pipe if you want it lightweight and able to float? Schedule 20 would work nice for the smaller traps.
Really cool build. I'd love to make an outdoor pond with fish and newts. With high walls so they can't get out.

You are probibly aware but theyvare quiet like rainbows they spawn or chase most mornings in the really low light ...not sure if the fry I saw them eating were baby mascara or odesa barbs
5:55 Since you kind of want it to be flexible, to be able to remove, why not use plastic spirial binding coils or spirial electrical wire covering as it would fold very easily?

Yeah they can snack on that t and be fine for a couple days. I have left my fish room for a week and everything was good. Tanks even looked cleaner.
Man I’d love to buy some of those from you. I been breeding green tiger barbs, tiger barbs and tried a couple other barb types but those mascara barb are beautiful. I’d love to get some
2:59 When working with new materials that folks may not be experienced with, it would be helpful to show how you cut or merge the new parts and the tools needed. A regular saw will not cut this material well. I just used a pair of plyers and pulled down to snap out a row. Not sure how you did it. Also, being a styrene type of material, it is rather brittle to weight and impact. I have a terrible time with opossum and raccoons and would be concerned if a fat raccoon were to jump on the top of the pen.

It won’t last more than a couple years if I don’t get shade over it. But one good spawn from them will will cover any cost for a new one.
Hey Lucas have you had to deal with parasites recently? Just curious. Im here in Canada where parasite medication is reeeally hard to come by
I don’t really mess with meds anymore. Haven’t really had to with where I get my fish. But different parasites do take different meds.
@@LRBaquatics yep, I failed to quarantine and let some infected fish into my livebearer colonies. Kinda demoralizing but I gotta get on it. Dealing with some internal orangeish thin parasites. Not as bad as camallanus but this ones hard to get rid of. It also attaches to algae at times.

23:51 Yeah, the same UV light that tans the fishbelly white people to a nice tan is the same UV light that will color up some fish pigment cells. 🏜
