nope, he didn't fuze them (can see it on the AMPCD at around 7:33). Also these are not Mk82, they are CBU99
Some still say that 2, mudspike, 11'o clock to this very day.

Old tomcat AI model has some glitches, When the new one comes in along with the Tomcat module they will be replaced.

How you do ALWAYS get AI trying to land on top of you, Magz? I think it may be time to go have a chat with the flight director and LSO...preferably with the nearest long, solid object (a pipe will work nicely) :D
Been trying to do this mission for hours today. F-14s fail spectacularly at fighting the Migs and get shot to pieces leaving them free to harass me all day, meanwhile the other flight don't scratch a single AA station and my wingman gets shot down before even delivering a single bomb...
Exactly same issue I am having except I've been trying this mission for about 2 weeks (about 30 trys all together)
@@tophmcgoph9229Can confirm trying it multiple times yesterday (5 tries), Shield and SEAD are on their own program. Even if they take out the SA-6s, the SA-9s in the convoy pack make quick work of me inside 2 miles. They must have made changes to the AI over time, because the way this guy strolls onto the target is not how it plays now.
When I recently did this campaign, this mission was covered in fog at the carrier and the AO
Same here, was completely impossible to see anything
You can move the mission folder out of the folder it is in and put it in a folder to create yourself, say on the desktop. Then you can go in and edit it to get rid of the fog. I beleive it's a bug from the latest update.
Personally I do not mind if you mix up your content, first watched your DCS videos but stayed for Cold Waters and Bomber crew. Also couldn't you have muted the Radio in the Hornet?
Of course, but then I couldn't hear what was being said, So when my Wingman calls a missile launch I wouldn't know and then I woudl die. You can mute just about any sound in the cockpit of an aircraft, but doing so is a great way to get yourself killed fast.
So I know it's been 5 years but...wtf? I've been doing everything you've done here and have accomplished nothing but dying from AA :(
Whenever I do this mission I get everything running smoothly until the run on the bmp's, than everyone and their grandma decides I'm their target. Can't even get close enough to drop bombs on them before getting shot out of the sky with pinpoint accuracy. Any advice on this?
I have the same problem man. I just dont know what to do. I even finally learned how to use countmeaseures and evades sam rocktes which I find currious that it target me out of those many F14 flying not that far infront of me!
Then I try to kill BMPs and they shoot me me to shit when I approach on them. Its like WTF?
I know I am noob, but first mission was kind of very easy and second one is like a nightmare :D
@@sefin84 exactly. I honestly have no idea. I can evade the sams and guns but I can't get a stable enough approach to drop the bombs without getting shot
I did it with the try after my post :D
I waited a bit on carrier then joined behind F14s. I had 20k alt and when I approached target I did aggressive dive and released the whole payload on BTRs. I didnt get too low and this time they didnt shoot at me.
Now I have the same problem with mission 3 :D But I guess I will do it in the same approach as the mission is very similar to mission 2.

I am a DCS Noob. The circular screen on the left DDI. I can get it up by selecting EW but I don’t get anything on it or any alerts/warnings. Have I missed a setting to display the radar sources being displayed?
Oh man, they updated the cloud system on this mission and I can't 💣 anything lol, the whole river area is inside clouds.

I wish we saw more period aircraft like the A-6 and A-7! This mini campaign has been fun though.

I nearly had a stroke reading the the date in the beginning. In America it’s month, day year and I sat here for a few minutes trying to figure out what our 13 month is lol
Ya idk if you have fixed this problem but you should turn down there voice to keep yours up
Also: Make it a habit to go full afterburner on touch down when landing on the carrier - if you are bolting every second counts
When I recently did this campaign, this mission was covered in fog at the carrier and the AO and my team didn't pop smoke
i just read you can fix it in the mission editor. It happened when they updated the cloud system
@@Hopperproductions1 Where did you read it? I noticed the fog as well but I am curious if I have to fix the smoke as well.
Does anybody knows why do I have clouds allover the place? I cannot see the targets at all...

Hey Magz great Video really enjoyed it. I was just wondering out of curiosity as i have had this happen to me also,did you ask for permission to land when returning to the Carrier? I have made a couple of missions myself that involve multiple A.I aircraft returning to the carrier and it doesn't seem to matter if i ask permission to land or not they seem to land like they have precedence over my aircraft.I always thought i was doing something wrong in the editor.
Yes I had permission to land and as you saw I didn't get a wave off when the tomcat came strolling in so the approach was mine.

You Reepers are just toooo soft. A couple of canisters of Napalm would do the trick and discourage any future convoys.
I absolutely would engage a bmp with guns things have 8-15mm armour.

Superbug is still in pretty new by the standards of DCS, I wouldn't be expecting a module on it for quite some time.

Not far from it, The whole point of DCS is to be as close to reality as is possible.

Important question. Should I buy the hornet or the tomcat? I'm leaning toward the tomcat but I'm still not sure.
Personally, I'd go for the Tomcat too, but both are going to be good buys.
Both, but basically: Tomcat is tougher to fly/learn, but more powerful in air to air, Hornet is better at ground attack and easier to fly/learn, and has a lot more functionality in terms of electronics etc. So if you want to do air to air and want a challenge, Tomcat. If you want easier to fly and groundpound, Hornet. But honestly, get both when you can.

Every single one of those Mk-20 Rockeye's you dropped was a DUD.. as it said clearly on your hud. Odds are you didnt arm them or you forgot to setup the parameters.. too bad, it was some good flying
No it wasn't, this was from 2018 when there was a known bug with the Hornet (A bug in a DCS aircraft, big surprise I know) where pretty much all bombs would be marked dud regardless of if they where armed or not.
This is actually one of the reasions I really don't make too many videos for DCS anymore, I'm forever having to go back and explain that I did a thing a way becase at the time X feature was bugged or otherwise broken or simply didnt exist on the aircraft at the time.
I've had a couple of messages recently on my very early Hornet videos asking me why I used the override rather than the countermeasures page to set up countermeasures and telling me that im doing it wrong.
Of course there was no countermeasures page when the Hornet rolled out, (the time I made those videos) the override was the only way to arm countermeasures for about 4 months until it was added.
