I like these two minute tips. A bunch of short videos detailing a specific part of bow maintenance (with a clear title!) is good because sometimes I'm further into a certain process and don't need a full 20 minute explanation on it. Just my two cents..

Thank you. Its a good idea for aligning 3 blade broadhead with the vanes.
You can also use a small o-ring between the insert and broadhead. Tighten it up and line them up way.
Great idea for alignment. I'll need to reheat the insert, align, and re-glue. I become a tad obsessive when we get closer to fall and weight all my arrows and broadheads - matching them up to decrease the weight variance from arrow to arrow - thanks!
Nice tip-- ran across it a week too late (just built a set of arrows and used permanent glue on the inserts)
So if you shot a four blade head you need four fletching?
Sharpie ink won't stick to some inserts/shafts. Try cutting super thin strips of masking tape with scissors if you have that issue; it worked for me.

What about arrows with the inserts already glued in?
Great question! The answer: rubber o-rings. An old trick. You can take rubber o-rings that slip over the ferrule of the broadhead. Once you screw it in, the rubber o-ring will allow you some give but also tighten down the head so you can align the 3 blade of the head with your 3 fletchings. Give it a try!

@@andrewwolflethecatfishmast790 The biggest thing is a tuned bow. Really is. If that's taken care of often times the fetching alignment is negligible.
Would you pull and re-glue the inserts if the blade and fletching dont align? Mine were glued before I selected my broadhead and the alignment isnt consistent and doesnt align with fletching. thanks!
Would you recommend numbering the broadhead along with arrow? For instance broadhead 1, 2 and 3. Arrow 1, 2 and 3 or should the same name broadhead align the same way? Just don't want to mess up expensive arrows lol. The cutting method worked flawlessly and am very satisfied with the results. Thankyou for the tips
Allison Hooker since I keep a pen and paper record of all the bows setups and arrow set up that I shoot I just keep it number down on that piece of paper. So I don't necessarily label the broadheads 1 2 and 3. Because I could end up shooting several different broadheads with one Arrow.
How do I know what inserts to buy for this cross bow bolt? Barnett 16075 Outdoors Carbon Crossbow 20-Inch Arrows with Field Points (5 Pack), Black. I am shooting a magnus stinger 2 blade and read it should be lined up with the cock vane (LOL) but I will be damned if I can make that happen...smh
You'd have to ask Barnett directly. Crossbow bolts are very different from brand to brand. Very hard to know.
