Hello Charles, yes please. Your proof of fund is the money to sustain you while you’re here, don’t remove the money until you pass the airport border in the UK. Very important. Hope this helps!

Please can a dependant choose not to travel immediately with the main applicant, after applying and getting the visa together.
What if a dependant chooses to travel about 2 months after their visa was approved, while the main applicant travels immediately. Is that acceptable or the couple has to both travel together after their visa is approved?

Actually it is not compulsory to travel together. I applied a month after my husband did. We didn’t leave Nigeria together. However, I’m not sure if you can choose not to travel 2 months after your visa is approved.
Actually, When you get your passport back and your visa is approved, there’s usually a timeframe written on your Vignette Sticker on when you are expected to be in the UK. I might be wrong but I think 2 months is long.

Hello, thanks for watching. I submitted my marriage certificate, wedding photos, and proof of change of name on the newspaper and from the court. So these things are not over the top and they provide enough evidence. I'd advice you take these things along, there is no such thing as too much evidence lol. You need to convince them and your documents are all you have.

Hello Liz, thanks for watching. No, it is not necessary, since you’re not applying for a skilled worker visa, you’re not required to submit any employment information. Dependent visa is only linked because of marriage.

Hello Ade, I'd advise you to use a single account for all your POF. That way your POF will mature at the same time for 28 days. Regardless of the time your dependants actually want to travel, they will be able to tender the same account statement that is up-to-date. Hope this helps.

Hello, I am not quite sure to be honest but the process is not difficult to go through. I paid using my card so I’m sure there will be an option for bank transfer. I’m not sure really. When you book an appointment, you are required to pay. So visit their website link when you’re ready

When I got to the TB test part I just started laughing. My husband's appointment was for 1pm, and as an early bird he decided to go by 11am, when he got there he was number 301 🤣🤣🤣, he came back really late. My people if u are going, just go early the appointment doesn't work, it's first come first serve. In Abuja sha, I don't know about Lagos.

I heard the TB test has been difficult to book and I feel it’s due to the traffic on the website. I suggest you try it on a laptop at night, it might work. There are a lot of people trying to book an appointment that’s why.

A dependent’s visa only lasts the number of months as the main applicant’s. So, if the main applicant’s visa expires, a dependent’s visa also expires

Hi Grace, so when I did mine it took 15 working days but I heard things have changed and it is taking up to 8 weeks. I might be wrong but I am sure they’ll inform you of the waiting period at TLS.

Hello Francis, your wife should put in your accommodation address. When she arrives, I’m sure you both will figure out renting an apartment. But she can use your student accommodation address because that’s where you’re living.

The issue is I will leave in September and I don't have any accommodation there yet. But the school said if I don't have accomodation I should use the University. So can my dependant also use the University despite not being a student. When we get there we can sort ourselves out.

As long as your partner is still a student, you can apply n join him there but once he graduates n is no longer a student, then, you can't go as a dependent

Hello Soum, I think it works either way. As long as you’re on a student visa, you’re allowed to bring your family with you. What matters is the cost because bachelor’s degree will cost more in terms of visa application and health surcharge due to the number of years.

I have the funds to afford myself and my spouse but I was checking the website of UK GOV, it mentions that spouse of a student is allowed only with the level 7 education which means master or higher programs, bachelor is 6 level which don’t permit students to bring their family member. @@soumitronice I just confirmed that a student studying a bachelor’s degree cannot bring in dependent partner.
with that being said, I might suggest masters program or PHD since you mentioned that you can afford it.
please, is it possible for the dependent to get a permanent job before the completion of the partner program.

If it’s the former, you don’t need it during application, your partner is the one who will need to submit it during their application. As a dependent, you will need it.

That’s strange but I feel it’s probably network issues. I haven’t heard of this situation before but I’m sure it will be rectified as long as you send a complain via email showing the debit alerts.

You both do. Each of you needs to show that you have enough money to take care of yourself. However, you both can keep your individual money in the same bank account and use it as a proof of fund. Please note that the money must stay in the account for more than 28 days before you can print out the bank statement for submission.

For a year and some months , IHS fee covers the duration of your time in the UK

2. MA had applied and yet to get decision on her application but as a Dependant that want to start his application whose account will the POF be; is it in Dependant or MA bank account?
Please kindly advice!
It’s advisable to wait till the MA gets visa first, to avoid headaches, since the MA and the dependent didn’t apply concurrently, The visa page (entry date and expiry)of the MA would be needed in the visa application questions, I hope this helps.
