It's fascinating, really well done and shows what to expect if you decide to watch it. There is also another thing that shows you the world around it a bit. @@breezy3392 oh, I know. I'm on the 3rd novel rn, so I'm aware of the betrayal. What can I say, I like angst. I didn't really think it was that toxic tho, at the time they were just "buddies" and SQ did realize that he fell for YW's "trap" or "trick". Besides, it's not like they were dating at the time and SQ was questioning if they were even friends still. YW likes to mess around, and knowing his character, it wasn't too surprising. It was just surprising how disgusting of a betrayal it was for what was being traded. And after that, I don't think there was any other instance of betrayal, that I remember. Or just plain didn't read yet. So, I don't think it's too much of a circle, more of Yan wushi wanting to see if SQ's spirit can be broken. (That was more of his aim) If you considered that his circle, points given. I won't take any. If you saw with YW's past self, he really does care for Shen Qiao though. And you can see after that, Yan Wushi really had fallen for SQ, so it was more of his Wicked mind that led to him pushing SQ, and YW likes to tease. Idk. I think the author used it as a key moment to help shape SQ, nice play 👌 I loved that. That moment just helped shen Qiao realize he really can't trust anyone, but SQ's moral code won't get him to hate YW, he'll only not trust him as much. Again, lol, you could see Shen Qiao, did still also, kind of care for Yan Wushi. He saved him from dying, and also really likes YW's past self, and at the mansion, he said he'd protect YW from the bald donkey, which he did. What I'm saying is, they like each other, YW is just a lil asshole that causes angst at times. It's not really that toxic. Sorry if I yapped. Or didn't explain much, lol. Sorry if I wasted your time, I just didn't think it was that abusive. I think it was authors play, and YW being a lil ass lol. And that they do like each other, they just have that enemies to lovers dynamic going on. I quite like the story.i won't say it's not a little toxic, just not as toxic as I think you think it is.
