Was always told once you use tires going one direction you should not reverse their direction only rotating tires front to back instead of side to side. Anyone else been told that before?
On cars I've always heard crisscross.... Right front to back left and left front to Back right. But I don't know with simi's.

Glad you passed your inspection with flying colors. Great job Trucker Josh and glad you're home safe and sound. It's got to be Alaska... I'm pretty sure of my guess. If I were you, I'd keep the Cub Cadet zero-turn mower... It will cut your mowing time down to nothing... Perhaps Brit might like to give it a go around the yard when you're on a long trip. Used to teach geography in college for a time and as far as you wondering about "seasons" in the midwest we usually figure once you know your home location and know your fall-date all you have to do is calculate for every one-hundred-miles north you deduct one more week till fall will start. For every location moving south you deduct one-week for every hundred miles. For my location- i.e fall in Bismarck, ND starts two weeks earlier than here in Pierre, SD as it is 200 miles north. Costal areas aren't as exact as the easier mid-west calculations but they do cover much of the country.

Josh, All the inspection process gives you peace of mind that Old Blue is in top shape and ready for the trip to Alaska LOL and and anywhere else in the North American Continent. After rotating the front steer tires on Old Blue and run the truck up the road and then come back to the tire shop and re-torque the Lug Nuts is great safety precaution.

Let's think about this. He said that he has been to all 48 states in the lower 48. That leaves Alaska and Hawaii. You can't drive to Hawaii. You can try but you'll get real wet. He said he has been to all the provinces in Canada. Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut are territories, not provinces. Nunavut is already eliminated because you can't drive there.That leaves Alaska, Mexico and Washington DC, plus those 2 territories; most likely of those is Alaska.

Common this time of year for inspections, CMVA inspectors need to certify their skills every year, in Manitoba that’s 32 or 35 separate vehicle inspections

CBSA has voted on strike action. They however are classified as essential workers so probably work to rule possibly starting in June.

When it comes to parts of the world, if part of any Mainland portion of any member state of CONCACAF (a continental soccer federation) I can think of Mexico, Belize, other Spanish-speaking Central-American countries, French Guiana, Suriname, Alaska and what was British Guiana are places Trucker Josh likely hasn't been to yet (whether for pleasure or on business). The Guianas are located in the Mainland Americas although are in South America, with no South-American country connected by road to the rest of the Americas. He probably would get stuck crossing the Darien Gap if he tried although that part of the world is known to be a hotbed for violent crime, is best avoided and in any case is so far away from Southern Manitoba that it would take weeks for him to drive all the way there and back. Maybe he's going somewhere in Alaska although how deep into Alaska isn't so clear.
