CarLube hi pal, nice video, can you send me the number for the chap who will come out and mod the car at home? I'm in Herts so hopefully should be easy enough, my email is mylesbirkett@gmail.com thanks in advance
Carlube, I saw a video of your exhaust modifications and loved bro, can you kindly send me guys number or email. I am in redhill Surrey. My email is Ludemuo@yahoo.com
I guess im asking randomly but does someone know of a tool to log back into an instagram account? I was dumb forgot the login password. I would love any tricks you can give me
Hi, just got my m3 e93. Geting done 4 pipes and cats....i just pissing like small girl noise that beast makes...ohh jeee. Video helped me o loot.. Best wishes from lithuania !!!
Hello buddy thank if your message and well done for your car, I think the best mod is 2.5 plus primary cat delete which is loud. The 4 pipe drowns a lot on the motorway.
Hi Mate, First of all thanks for that awesome exhaust mod video. Now I’m sure which setup is the best to me, because I want to achieve deep sound not raspy. If I’m right 2.5 mod is the best to me, like your car’s. Would you please explain me what means 2.5 mod exactly? Which section should I cover?
garaba15 garaba15 was thanks and yes mate, that’s what I have on my M3. In the vid showing the job you’ll see a small section of holes which are left uncovered on 2 pipes, If you make yours look the same you’ll have a 2.5 mod.. basically 4 pipes, 2 completely covered and 2 half covered.
Hi Mate, your video is bloody excellent! You gave Top gear a run for their money! You should make more videos related to BMW M vehicles. I'm sure your channel will go from strength to strength. Just one question. I was thinking of getting Paul to do the exhaust mod on my E46 M3. Do you think I will get annoying drone on the motorway?
Thank you very much for your comment very much appreciated, my friend had Paul mod his E46 M3, and he loves the sound. Please check out the rest of my videos.
Great video. Is there a big difference between wrapping two vs two and a half vs all four. In the video it is hard to tell. How does the pitch and volume change.
+Neo the One as long as the pipes are rubbed down clean and the Jubilee clips are stainless steel they will last forever I'm told, mines fine after 15months.
Well done video! I like the 2.5 setup. What kind of aluminum tape did you use? I haven't found one that can stand the heat of exhaust pipes. Was there any smell when the adhesive burned up? Thanks!
jordan rivera thanks, where in the world are you? I didn't do the modification a company did it for me, I don't remember there being a smell, there might of been.
No it doesn’t, it will if it’s not installed correctly, mines as good now as it was 5 years ago, but I’ve seen rear boxes reopened and it’s just a mess in there. you’d be able to tell by the sound.
Hey there guys. Planning on doing this to my e93 m3. But before I go cutting. Is the back box stainless steel or aluminium? So I can get the correct welder ready Please someone get back to me
Hi. I wanted to do the Two pipe mod. I have my secondary cats out. But I don’t want any drone . From my feedback only 2.5 and above drone. Even then is the drone at low or high speed
Garrett M hello mate I would say any DIY shop will sell it, and yes as long as the cleaning preparation of the pipes is good, there’s no problem with temps and longevity. I’ve had mine for 3 years
How is this the case, aluminum tape is rates to approx 2-300 degrees, exhausts hit up to almost double that? Only asking as I'm trying to think of what to put underneath my exhaust wrap for this mod itself and abit stuck as I don't want the foil tape catching alight etc. Normal aluminum foil seems rated for 600 degrees though. Should I just use that instead? Thanks
RazorFX Hello mate, that’s my car, it’s only had the 2.5 OEM backbox wrap. I personally didn’t want to go for the decats because it make the sound more raspy
kyrkland I don't see why not because primarily this is a back box modification, that doesn't affect the emissions, in the UK we can also remove the 2 primary catalytic converters and pass and MOT, in California I don't know about that.
In the description for this video there is a link to Paul welder, he travels the country doing this modification.. Contact him on face book and tell him you've spoken to me.
Remember guys if you like this video please give it a like and subscribe.

I think the 2.5 mod sounds the best
nah 4 pipe mod is the way to go. I have that it sounds brutalllll
I two-pipe modded my OEM box about 3-4 years ago. Never looked back, it's epic.
where man?
Excellent this is obviously a professional presenter. That V8 after the mod sounds Gorgeous.
Thank you very much for your kind words, i'm not a professional but getting better hopefully with ever vid
I got my E93 M3 strait piped yesterday and OMG night and FN DAY...
Those cars sound incredible!
*Getting 2.5 done on my ///M asap! Great detailed video!!*

This is very nice video that really usefull to the owner ! thank you brother !

Yes very much so, 2 pipes is quietist..
I noticed you wrapped the pipes with ally tape then exhaust wrap, how is it holding up? I'm worried it may come loose.
+Neo the One as long as the pipes are rubbed down clean and the Jubilee clips are stainless steel they will last forever I'm told, mines fine after 15months.
Thanks, I'll prefer to wrap rather than cut and weld in solid pipes, I don't want it too loud and I want it to be reversible.
Agian mate! Wel done good video! And I love the sound of the OEM exhaust
Thank you buddy
Excellent video!
Thank you.
What mods has the 2nd m3 in the video had? (The white convertible) thanks
Hello mate, 2.5 oem mod
+james Richards in fairness the mic was mounted a couple of inches from the exhaust pipes, probably a bit distorted.
Hello. I have a doubt, the fibers are put back into the muffler after the wrapping? Answer me please. Thanks you so much
angel Ji yes mate absolutely put it back in
CarLubeTv thank you very much, I'm going to modify mine too, I'll leave it with 2 pipes ;)
where cn you get this done? places I have spoken to here in Maidstone Kent are acting like the daft laddie and want me to replace the exhast on my V8?
Hello mate, speak to my mate on Facebook Chris ‘modstock exhaust’
He’s Kent based and will sort you out, tell him I sent you.
Amazing sound!!!! People spending $3,000 on aftermarket exhausts that don’t sound as nice.
That’s so true, some performance exhausts will give some weight saving and extra flow, but never sound as good as this.
Hey dude, great video! Do you know anywhere for me to get 2.5 pipe mod & primary de-cat done in south UK? Thank you!
Hey, search face book for my mate chris, Modstock exhaust mods, you can go to him or he can come to you.
Best video, James.
Thanks, I think so too

🆔🆔your the best ..Moore videos please
Wouldn’t the wrap eventually melt off? Why not just cut out the 2 perforated pipes and replace and weld straight pipe.
No it doesn’t, it will if it’s not installed correctly, mines as good now as it was 5 years ago, but I’ve seen rear boxes reopened and it’s just a mess in there. you’d be able to tell by the sound.
Thorough video! When you said "2 pipe mod" and "1 pipe mod," which pipes were you referring to? (As in which pipes were covered?)
Absolutely mate, Who is essentially two pipes with four sets of perforations, pending on how are you cover the perforations dictate the number.
+Project6JGF So 2.5 would be? 2 of the larger perforated sections and half the smaller perforated sections??
+AsGoodAsGrass yes buddy
So a 2 pipe mod would be only 2 of the larger sections covered ? Great video btw
Hey there guys. Planning on doing this to my e93 m3. But before I go cutting. Is the back box stainless steel or aluminium? So I can get the correct welder ready
Please someone get back to me
Neale Kerr it’s stainless steel mate
Hi. I wanted to do the Two pipe mod. I have my secondary cats out. But I don’t want any drone . From my feedback only 2.5 and above drone. Even then is the drone at low or high speed
Sheraz Khan 2 pipe doesn’t drone, also, removing the cats makes the car sound raspy but doesn’t drown
What do you suggest is the highest I can go without it dronning. Please keep in mind I have secondary cat delete. Thanks a million
Sorry 2.5 and above will drone ? I usually keep my revs between1-3. And wanted to do 4 Pipe. Would it drone ?
Sheraz Khan I have the 2.5 and it doesn’t drone mate.
Where did you get the aluminum tape? Are you sure it can handle temps from the exhaust pipe??
Garrett M hello mate I would say any DIY shop will sell it, and yes as long as the cleaning preparation of the pipes is good, there’s no problem with temps and longevity.
I’ve had mine for 3 years
this is the aluminum tape with adhesive backing correct?
Yes mate it is indeed
How is this the case, aluminum tape is rates to approx 2-300 degrees, exhausts hit up to almost double that? Only asking as I'm trying to think of what to put underneath my exhaust wrap for this mod itself and abit stuck as I don't want the foil tape catching alight etc. Normal aluminum foil seems rated for 600 degrees though. Should I just use that instead? Thanks
4:14 what was done to this white m3? it sounds the best because it has a bit of a bass rumble and high tones... please tell me, thanks! :)
RazorFX Hello mate, that’s my car, it’s only had the 2.5 OEM backbox wrap. I personally didn’t want to go for the decats because it make the sound more raspy
will the cars still pass smog in california if this is done?
kyrkland I don't see why not because primarily this is a back box modification, that doesn't affect the emissions, in the UK we can also remove the 2 primary catalytic converters and pass and MOT, in California I don't know about that.
thanks.
I need this mod
KING COBRA where are you in the world?
@@carlubetv Belgium
Hi there where can I get this done?
Are you in the uk?
+Project6JGF Yes I'm from Surrey, looking for someone to do this for me? 2.5?
In the description for this video there is a link to Paul welder, he travels the country doing this modification.. Contact him on face book and tell him you've spoken to me.
+Project6JGF thanks a lot! All booked up buddy getting the 2 pipe mod? To avoid drone?
That's will be perfect, you'll love it..
My m3 going on reckless lol
