If his brother only saw it from that perspective. Dude doesn’t think promoting hunting to people who haven’t been exposed to it. It’s disappointing. Steve Rinella and MeatEater is why I hunt and now my kids kids. I could even argue it changed my life. Used to be against hunting too. He showed how hunters are often for conservation and what goes back into the land and the animals. Steve and MeatEater are American treasures and should be regarded higher than they are
Steve!! Hell yea. I love listening to his narration during the Meat Eater episodes. The way he talks about nature, wildlife, hunting, and conservation is highly poetic and really enjoyable to listen to.
Two of my favourite "content creators" ( I guess there goes any chance I have of getting and autograph). Given the crazy stuff out there it is so good to sit down and listen to two adults talk about something I care about.
Never hunted, beyond tracking down the occasional fly that gets in through my front door. Ever since my twin boys were born 8 months ago I've binge watched all of Rinella's content (lots of late nights and early mornings with the twins) I can get my hands on. I don't even understand why I love it so much.
I have 100lbs of wild pork layed out thawing as I type this . Will be stuffing 100 lbs of sausage Friday evening and smoking it Saturday when I get in from my morning hunt . And will be making about 50lbs of pan/breakfast sausage .
Great show. I wish he would address the wolf mismanagement by our elected beurocrats. Now in the northern Midwest, the deer and turkey population has been decimated. This is a major issue and needs attention immediately
I’m advocating for a Pittman Robinson Act for for the Outdoor Tourism Industry. As the drivers of Outdoor spending Trent’s recreational and tourism, the funding sources of Conservation change. Lots of hunting properties are being lost in SC for parks and tourism reserves.
I enjoy Steve's work and the educational merit of his content. I do though think there is a huge blindspot in the "cows not condos" conservation thinking; where exactly do you plan to put all the people? We can pretend that the population isnt going to continue to grow in this country espesially in places with access to such important and fragile wild places, but that just denies reality. You also arent going to keep that growth in NYC or LA. It may be an uncomfortable truth but like for like 1000 units of condos takes up and damages less wildland area then 1000 single family homes of suburbs do. We as conservationists and people who love the wild outdoors and want to see as much of it protected as possible need to be willing to allow development which at first may make it feel like we are covering the land in a jungle of concrete but in reality is making it so miles of wild country are not paved over and dotted by suburban houses that fragment and displaces native flora and fauna.
As a Canadian hunter I can say that the primary reason for hunting is not to put food on your table, it is for the enjoyment of the hunt and the comrade with your friends. It is cheaper to buy your meat than it is to hunt for it in Canada.
@@Ryantrock8888 I hunt too and it’s hard to beat venison or moose, but in Ontario for the vast majority it is cheaper to buy your meat than it is to get it by hunting.
I think somebody with the insight and knowledge like steven rinella who really hammers on ethics and goes against the grain of this giant buck hunting crap would do the hunting industry a lot of good. I am a hunter myself but the typical hunter makes me sick
I wish they would remove our antler restrictions. It doesn’t help with bigger deer in our area . I hunt for food and others hunt horns . If the antler restrictions is removed it will benefit food hunters and the guys hunting big Mature deer are still going to hunt said animals . The antler restrictions have ruined hunting for younger generation they get told no that’s not legal , no that’s not old enough no that’s not legal . An they say the hell with it and quit hunting .
Oh, another video of a washed up SEAL interviewing a big game hunter / sports fisherman. Like we haven't seen this before. HA LOL luv you guys and I gotta watch.
People could help hunting by not having shows, posting about it on social media, etc. and profiting off dead and dying animals. Over crowding from over publicizing hunting and R3 is hurting wildlife conservation. Change my mind..
@@noahfyan9617 that can be done just as effectively by not posting about it online for the world to see and causing over crowding. Which, in turn, will lead to our “sport” dying off because it’s pay to play for the rich.
If you’re so concerned about your hunting rights I suggest coming up to speed with the greater threat of losing our Beloved Country. Save the country and that will preserve your hunting privileges/rights. Jmo

The level of authenticity that the whole MeatEater crew has in their content is unmatched in the hunting and fishing TV world.

Try his audiobooks. American Buffalo is awesome
I could listen to Steve for hours
Hopefully this leads to Andy being on an episode of Meateater with Steve. 😊
1000% can not wait
I love Steven, been watching him from the beginning and read all his books. Hunters should not have to explain why they hunt to anyone.
I could listen to Steve talk for days man.
Rinella is such an awesome, interesting guy. I love all he does for the hunting, outdoors, and conservation space.
I love how he tells it like it is and his knowledge is based on science and history. This man gives all hunters a good name.
Lol, hunters and good name in the same sentence. But yeah if you're going to defend savage cruelty you need positive PR.

🤔That wasn’t Steve R. on Steve’s outdoor adventures
Was hoping someone caught that. Different Steve haha

Anyone notice how Steve's choppers almost glowed? Maybe it was just my screen, but, for black and white, they was gleemin!

Should have his brother Matt on, he is the one saying the stuff that really needs to be said.
