I got my Xrt and saw how the proline and other 1/5 scale tires and wheels looked on it. I thought they all looked pretty ugly. The stock tire just look really nice and scale, the stock wheels look like 1:1 scale method racing duplicates.
But these Method wheel tires look amazing and do the look of the truck absolute justice!

Yes I agree. I often touch on it in videos. I don't like how TH-cam is now a giant commercial, instead of what it use to be. Influencing is now front and center. Brand new trucks are being unboxed and all the influencer talks about is parts from ABC-123.
Razor is probably one of the last youtubers who has a lot of subscribers, but still honest. I'm still a small fry, but I will continue to be the same.
honest reviews thats all. when a company promotes you and sends you every car they reveal and that brings thousand of views-money, reviews Hard to stay honest!!! also Kevin talbot even top youtubers destroy any car and show real duration!!
@@kitsos8 I have been very lucky. I have received a few cars from companies but, the company knows what they are getting. Lucky for me, I often receive great cars. I ask for cars I want, not just cars to review. Don't get me wrong... I won't turn away a free car. But if I get something I am not interested in, you won't see much content on it.
Rich duperbash is honest and shows m2c... People putting this up against and already beaten up Keaton and when the Keaton was out that was the best pretty unfair comparison rich duperbash just showed this definitely will need some m2c for big bashing this sure has its own place but it's apple to oranges to an xmaxx the junk 1000 hunk of plastic just isn't worth it! Traxxas is always over priced that's the only thing that sucks with Traxxas..I own a few but they put shit parts in a 1000 hunk of plastic!

Agreed, I’ve had my XMaxx since 6s upgraded to 8s kit, 1100 kv max6, m2c upgrades, proline beaded wheels. It’s sucks to have to replace the gears, stub axles, servo ect ect ect.
I’d buy the XRT if I knew I wouldn’t need servos gears ect

You have me really considering the big boy method rc tires. I have sc and mt and especially like the sc ones. Great video brother and I agree it does seem similar to an 1/8th scale. I thought the samething when I first drove it.

I like these a lot because they have some mass to them. They allow you to backflip even though they are belted. But have enough tire to cushion landings.

What's that bolt n washer set you put in ? And I like those tires for sure for the XRT, once I get the thing paid off I'll be getting those tires , I like the metal inserts , thanks for the info !! Jason did you ever throw one of those Method wheels/tires on a scale? I would be curious to see how many grams they are. Right now my lightest ones are the stock XRT wheels at about 600g and my heaviest are the Sledgehammer belted at a little over 800g.

I don't plan on doing much to the truck. Upgrad the esc to a MMX8S or Max 6. Few parts as they are needed. But that's it. I would like to keep the weight down if I can, and continue using the stock motor.

I bought my xrt 6 months ago and I still haven't took it out of the box yet. I've been waiting for them to come out with different bodies so I can custom paint it myself.

I got these wheels and tires on my 8th scale and my fifth scale and I keep taking them off my fifth scale they just don't have traction they like to slide a lot
I like that they allow me to throw the truck around. I agree they are not the most aggressive tread design. But again, I enjoy that they let me dance the truck around, and also have the mass to correct in the air.
@@JasonPerrinRCVlogs at first I absolutely loved them and I think it's more of my fifth scale ones I I still got them on my kraton XL and I haven't even took them off there yet I keep putting them back on my x-max or my Outcast status and taking them off and back on taking them off just something about the fish scale I guess it might have been too cuz I was running in more grass and they was just sliding a lot in the grass I don't know as always though man I check out all your videos so keep them coming brother that snow does suck don't it we got it here in Ohio too

Yeah you are right it’s a shame to spend $1000 plus and then have to buy upgrades for that vehicle. These RC companies need to get a grip but as long as people continue to buy them there will be no change. Trust me.!!

Great video Jason. I just disagree..I believe you should compare it to a stock Kraton 8s. When you switch the systems to compare, you would need to compare a Kraton with the same system to judge. The stock electronics are weak in my opinion for the size of this truggy, especially for 1k dollars.
Hello Jason, what's your thoughts on the aluminum steering link upgrade from Traxxas?
I run them on my X-Maxx. I will get them soon for the XRT. I like the look of the alloy links. Plus, Traxxas sells the parts individually. So if you break one part of the link, you don't have to replace the whole thing.

When I was ordering the parts in this video. If I had the cash I would have ordererd them too. Hopefully in the next few weeks I will grab them with another order.
I have a mojave with a max6 in it. Do you think the xrt esc would work good in the mojave on 6s if I swapped them around?

What's the best upgrades to put on a stock xrt without a lot of money????
Go with a heavier shock oil like 80 weight fluid. I heard that factory is 60 weight. It helps with bottoming out.
