As a pilot, you should be nervous during takeoff. I survived a plane crash at Richmond International Airport in Richmond, VA on April 11, 2011 due to catastrophic left engine failure of my aircraft immediately after takeoff. I suffered 65% burns, 68 total surgeries (so far), 2 amputated fingers on my right hand, a completely rebuilt nose, and hundreds upon hundreds of hours of physical, occupational, and psychological therapy. There are risks to everything we do in life, and some things are simply out of our control. I truly mean this when I say live each day to the fullest, tell your loved ones how much you love them, and be grateful for everything you have. I received a 2nd chance at life, and I’m thankful for that every single day.
I'm so sorry, you had to go through this, thank you for all those you flew safely to their destination and the lives saved the day you crashed in 2011.
Thank you so much for sharing your story sir, thank god you survived and that you are still here to tell the tale. You look great!

then the dc crash yesterday but also a month ago jaju airlines lost 179 on board and 2 days before that Russia shot another airliner down by mistake they say with a missle and lost 38 on that plane so thats five in a month crazy

@@josephsimone-du5ohit was a Lear medical plane flying to MO. They weren't in the air long at all. There were multiple fires on different blocks across the neighborhood because of the jet fuel. Houses on fire, stores, cars. My city is heartbroken and this is awful 😢 💔 💚🦅🏈

LA fires- My family's friend was able to run from her AltaDena house with the clothes on her back only - everything else she and her family had burned. It literally crashed 30 seconds after cleared for take off tower control audio is available. They closed the airport a minute later.

@@AnnStevens-p9z the military helicopter was also flying out of its assigned flight path as well, which apparently they were known to do in the airspace around DC and RRA, as they often flew either training exercises or transported government officials to bases nearby.

There is NO need to have so many news outlets at the scene. This is a tragic accident. This is not a situation where FAA, staffing, government, etc are to blame. It was either mechanical or an accidental stall from the turn, pitch, etc at take off. Heartbreaking. Give everyone extra prayers, compassion and love.

The laws of the FAA do not affect whether a plane will crash to the ground in a city like that has happened in the past three days. Trump’s changes to the FAA haven’t even gone into affect yet.

I feel like if the plane had to go down, we need to be thankful it didn't hurt a lot more, the pilot done well enough to have the least amount of casualties. Idk if he pointed it there or not be sure if I knew I was going to crash the road would be the best. I know they weren't conscious when it hit. Its crazy I'm devastated for those lost but thankful it landed there if it had to go down.

oh dear, and another nightmare crash, looks like it was going full throttle with zero glide slope what so ever. A ten 10cm part was reported flung into a diner half a mile away, a lot of speed and explosive force needed for that to happen. So short after takeoff, something must have gone horribly wrong to achieve such a crash pattern, possibly from fast attained high altitude and control surface failure and then straight back down. Those last minutes... seconds....... I can't imagine the panic aboard. Poor souls, also on the ground, RIP. Very very tragic and scary
