Thank you for doing this suggestion, it's always really appreciated. A great band 'The Sundays' with Harriet Wheeler's great vocal, this is one of their many great tracks, hopefully you'll do more by them. Here are some of my recommended tracks from them: "I Feel", "Here's Where the Story Ends", "My Finest Hour", "When I'm Thinking About You", "Wild Horses" The Rolling Stones cover, "Monochrome", "Static and Silence". They formed in Bristol in England, U.K. in the early '90s, they were prominent during the '90s, the band split up due to the two main members, namely, Wheeler and Gavurin spending more and more time raising their child.
@@willfromyadkinvilleYes, "Blind" and "Reading, Writing and Arithmetic", this particular song as you're probably aware is off of, "Static and Silence".
Short lived but quality band with some great songs. 'England my country the home of the free, such miserable weather', you have to love the Sundays for this lyric alone! 'Can't be sure' is the song, 'Here's where the story ends' is another favourite. They remind me a bit of early 'Everything but the girl' from the 80's, another underrated band/duo - Tracey Thorn & Ben Watt. Cheers
Oh! It's THAT song! 😄 Yeah, I remember the video clip playing on TV a lot at the time of its release. It had meanwhile completely disappeared from my 📡, though 🙂
@@Sandy-dd4le - Gidday, mate! 👋😊 Yeah, life's gotten a bit busier for me meanwhile, so I'm not able to YT it as much anymore 😅 I hope you've been well! 😀👍
Love The Sundays. One song that I never ever tire of is Here’s Where the Story Ends. Only 3 albums in the 90s, Harriet and Dave are/were very private people and chose to withdraw from the spotlight and run a studio instead.
@@I_was_a_Countdown_Kid-75-83 - Lush's song 'Superblast' was on a Various Artists compilation album friends had given me for my birthday in the mid Nineties; Great song! But I was rather underwhelmed by the Lush album I bought a few years later, which had a duet with Jarvis Cocker on it, which was its highlight for me 🙂
I would also like to add that I find it funny How y’all talked about this Song could get old if you played it 20 times a week. This is my sons favorite song and we listen to it multiple times a day and it’s still incredible!!!
Best known for their cover of Wild Horses. Always reminded me of The Smiths with a female vocalist. Surprised the singer Harriet didn't succeed as a solo artist after the band disbanded in the mid 90's.
@@mightyV444 @mightyV444 No. If you've got a copy of Wild Horses that's attributed to Mazzy Star, the attribution is wrong. The Sundays did it, Mazzy Star never did.
I'm going to join with others and hope you react to "Here's Where The Story Ends" which is one of the most beautiful songs of the 90's. Harriet's voice is lovely.
Not their most "distinguished" song, although one of their better known ones. Their debut album "Reading Writing and Arithmetic" is one of my favourite albums, the other two are a nice bonus (Summertime comes from the last, Static and Silence) but RW&A is the one. Everybody will disagree with me of course...
Check out "Here I Where The Story Ends", or "Your Not The Only One I know". They had three albums and disappeared. The only band i know that never wrote a bad song all the albums are masterpieces.
I prefer the sad songs of The Sundays. This song particularly is not my band's favorite, maybe because i live in brazil and here is summertime most of year 😅😅
I’m glad you found them. Enjoy

I quite liked them at the time, they had an interesting guitar player.
Try, Can't Be Sure, which iirc, was their first single
I got to see them live in London in 1990 along with Lush and a young Blur (not all on the same night). Good song.
Lush were great, we should suggest a track or two!

@@Sandy-dd4le They had a few good years. I'd suggest ''For Love'' and ''De-Luxe''.
@@mightyV444 They were appropriated with that Britpop bullshit in the mid 90's. I liked their early Dreampop stuff.
