Another Banger by this band. Major regret in the 90's that I never got to see them live. Wish they would put out new music or think of doing a nostalgic tour for us fans.

Summertime is my favorite Sundays' song. Just a lovely, upbeat, fun feel to this song. Harriet Wheeler is irresistable as a girl next door type of woman. Also I like the video that shows the band. Great video.

2004, I stay the night at a certain person's place for the first time. In the morning, as they head out for work I asked if I could borrow some CDs. This album was one of them, and the opening track became one of my favourite songs. The chorus is just so joyous and perfectly captures that feeling of new love.
Well, 20yrs on we're still together (and with a couple of kids in tow) and that song instantly transports me back to that time.
Great reaction as always, cheers Nick!

Nick, I was stationed in Fort Campbell Kentucky USA when this dropped. Going to college at nite, playing rugby on weekends, and then military duties the other times. It was a very fun time. This song was the perfect soundtrack of how my life was at that time. Truly larger than life. This song was highly underrated at the time, and still is. I don't know if because New Wave, was not as prevalent in the later 90s, but this got some airplay, but not much. When Shannen Doherty passed away, I instantly thought of this song, and my life in the 90s. Started out getting stationed overseas, then in the USA in the 90s, then, we come to 1997. What a time to be alive! And was born in the 60s, so I got to experience disco and rock in the 70s, and new wave and goth rock in the 80s. "The Hell Hole" and "angry young men" I always thought of, when I was in military, and those in control, combat in the early 90s in my life. Luved when she said, "The Sunshine banishes the dark". Sorry to ramble. Thank you for this review! This song, really is timeless. That sound, vocals, drums, guitar...everything.

It all came out well. If it's time for another 'The Sundays' reaction, could you react to "Goodbye". Such a great vocal bridge by Harriet followed by a great guitar bridge. All the best.

A really good band who deserve to be remembered more fondly by more people. Perhaps you could react to "My finest hour" from their first album.

If you like the Sundays, you should check out "Bringing Home the Ashes" by The Wild Swans Superb 80s English new wave.

The Wild Swans! Wow that is a band that I have not heard in a long time! Such a Top New Wave Band! So underrated. Idk if you know but The Wild Swans seemed to be super popular in the Philippines on the legendary WXB 102 in the 80s.

I really like this song, so that's how I ended up here - there aren't many reactions to this song on TH-cam. I'm glad you liked it!
Anyway, I noticed the Oasis poster on your ceiling. I presume you're a fan? I'm gonna make a recommendation. It's a cover of "Don't Look Back in Anger". It's actually by a guy from Indonesia who I discovered only because I watch a lot of videos on various reaction channels. He has an amazing tone to his voice. This song of his isn't reacted to all that much, unfortunately, but it's soooo good. It's a live performance with just him playing the guitar and singing. I hope you get the chance to check it out!
    Here's a link to the version I recommend (I think there's two): th-cam.com/video/_QW3nyZpVK4/w-d-xo.html
(make sure you watch the one where he's wearing the Batman shirt - it has really good audio)

A fairly big 90’s British band you have reacted to yet are Mansun, try the song Wide open space. Give them a go.
