Happy Tumbleweed user of Plasma 6.0.2 for the last couple days, including having sddm in the control panel. I'm fairly certain when I had 6.0.1 and running Wayland I reset the sddm in the control panel back to stock Breeze as one of my fixes for the odd sddm theme behavior I got. You really don't have sddm on 6.0.1? That's odd!

It's there now. Came in a couple days later.

On OpenSuse kalpa, I had to install sddm-qt6 plasma6-session-x11 plasma-wayland-protocols using a tty terminal after the automatic plasma 6 update. This would also apply to tumbleweed too. The sddm Kcm is already updated in the latest snapshot. Everything worked as normal for me; I just had to change back to single click again.

Thank you for that. I installed sddm-kcm6 last night and all seems good.
Yes, the double click big lol 🤣

Also, I forget to mention you might need to install pam_kwallet6 too.

You need sddm-kcm6 and you have sddm control ;)

I had that animation stutter while trying out Nobara as well. Especially on the taskbar and minimizing/restoring windows.
I switched to CachyOS and they disappeared. The falling apart animation seems to also work. Hopefully it's because of 6.0.2.

Should be. By what I'm reading 6.0.2 fixes many of those little bugs

I think they need to update Mesa in KDE 6 to eliminate some of the graphical glitches. Some packages are very old for a rolling release distro.

fair question, I'll sum up the answer as best I can....
Been using Linux since 1998. Over the years realized that a rolling release best fits what I want and need from my Linux experience. After having used several different models of rolling release I found that I like the OpenSUSE Tumbleweed model the best. It's very close to bleeding edge with enough hand holding to make me feel safe about doing updates whenever I want, be that everyday or a couple times a month it will always just work. I have found that other rolling releases leave it on you to make sure what they do doesn't break your machine. There's a few things that bug me, but that's true for any distro out there. I feel like OST has my back and I can roll with bleeding edge at the same time.
