- The Hilux is the perennial workhorse from Toyota, able to run reliably when the conditions get tough, able to haul all without complaining, and able to power through when other trucks would already have given up. But what if Toyota took that same Hilux formula and tweaked it to suit a different lifestyle? Like someone who drives to the office every day, but reserves the weekends for some adventures off-road?

In New Zealand they call it SR5 cruiser ,doesn't come with roof rail and sport bar in back but it comes with leather seats with heater on front seats and with 9 JBL speakers

Its a risk but it will also boost it's sales, down side is 4x4 model sales will probably drop

Tinipid tlga ang toyota. Yung ranger na wildtrak 4x2mt 1.390M tas ang conquest 4x2 mt 1.380, wildtrak leather seats tas mdjo advance ang features. Pero wala akong paki. Bsta tumatagal at wlang sakit sa ulo. I mean hndi natatapos right after mabili mo ang sasakyan mrami kang dpt e consider. Like future maintenance, parts availability etc. Maliban lang kung marami kang pera after 5yrs benta mo na..

Innova has 2.8 while hilux only 4x4 variants has 2.8 engine.
Yes hope there's also a 2.8 engine for a 4 4x2 hilux just like with the dmax.
I feel like toyota is ripping you off with this model. Rear passenger seats looks stiff and not comfortable and also correct me if im wrong but there seems yo be no rear aircon vents. Personally the models that i like are Ranger raptor for its sporty look and features even though im concerned about the longevity of its double turbo 2.0L engine. The new isuzu dmax looks nice and the new mitsubishi for a more "budget" oriented vehicle as far as i know from all the top line models of various brands mitsubishi seems to offer the least expensive. Also i heard the transmission is one of a kind and seems to be pretty comfy. Nissan navara looks ok and also cheaper but i find it ugly. Would need to spend some money to add some accessories and new wheels and a lift to make it look decent.

dmax ls a 4x2 would be a better choice, more powerful, more safety features, and rear aircon vent.

Top of the line Hilux in Ph is just a Mid trim in Thailand Hilux,no rear a/c,well still a Toyota,still going to sell.

Tingnan ko kung may 4x4 na G variant sa mga bagong labas na Hilux. Baka yun na lang muna, tapos simpleng set-up/mods lang kagaya nang ginawa ni Rony Dahl sa Australia.

😂😂.. Toyoya Hilux has more SRP compare sa Mitsubishi, Ford, Nissan due to no Discount kasi binabawi nila sa mga parts nila na mura. Mitsubishi, Ford naman malaki discount kasi tinutulungan ka for a little bit expensive parts in the future. So wlang naka lamang sa kanila. Pareho lahat magkaiba lang business strategy. And besides pag brand new d naman kailangan pa ng mga parts na bilhin. So medyo lugi talaga mga Toyota Fanatics with less features sa mga mid and base variants pero mahal ang price.😂😂✌🏾✌🏾

Same lang naman sa Nissan and Mitsubishi Sir. Marami rin mga outside shops na pwedi mag ayos aside from CASA. The discount of 200k i got from Mitsubishi i think d ma ubos sa pagpa ayos at pambili ng Parts after the 3 years warranty. And expected naman pag brand new after 5 Years to 10 Years pa yan magkaka major problem.
Therefore having no discount from Toyota is a big disadvantage. You lend your money to toyota in advance kung baga to avail their lower price parts in the market pero after 5 Years mo pa naman ma avail.
So ngayon nagamit kopa ang 200k na discount sa Bank PO transaction ko sa strada. Pinagbili ko ng accessories. Nothing to worry pa naman sa parts kasi 3 years under warranty. I hope you got my point also. 🙏

For example 20% downpayment approval pinag applyan mo sa Bank. 80% of the SRP lang shoulder ni Bank and the 20% will be payed to Dealer. So if malaki discount deduct mo sa 20% na amount. Magiging Low Downpayment na and low monthly pa. Ganyan lang po yan Boss. Pero if direct ka sa Agent sila mag process on your behalf, laki ng interest nila nasa 50-52% vs if direct sa Bank nasa 22-28% lang. 🙏😊
Where's the Toyota Safety Sense? C'mon Toyota, it's 2021 already! You're 2 or 3 years behind of Ford and Mitsubishi when it comes to Technology and Safety Features. All you can brag about is 'reliability' and charge your customers too much.
I agree. This is one of the reason why i chose Strada over Hilux due to no discount on the prices on their Hilux Model. Their fanatics always saying of High Resale Value and reliabilty. They just let their clients payed in advance for a lower parts in the future. Unlike Mistusbishi, Nissan, Ford are givng discounts to help their clients buy a little bit expensive parts than toyota but buying of parts will be happening in the near 5 years or more. I don't think that Nissan and Mitsubishi are not reliable in pickup category.
If ford can be reliable as the hilux, the ranger will crush it in sales, but sadly thats not the case, youve got to pick your poison!

@@charlzjones30 Toyota parts are not cheap, don't let that old bit of info fool you. A colleague had to replace his shocks on his 3 year old Fortuner and had to fork out 20k. Toyota parts aren't cheap.

Great review, I also saw the Dmax review... This Hilux is god awful. Toyota got design wrong from the start. You can tell that the Ranger is giving Toyota sleepless nights. The only thing good about it is it's a Toyota. I've owned the past 3 Hilux generations n this one is🚮.
The downside i have is that no rear AC no charging port for a 1.8m unlike its other competitors now im considering dmax and strada fuck toyota
