Did you play the gba remakes when you were a child? The notes are kind of different compared to the original theme on the OG gameboy. I think the remake uses a lot more sharp keys if you play it on a keyboard.

Make this man so popular so that GameFreak notices him and hires him for DpPt remakes.
It's GameFreak and Nintendo. They're far more likely to file a cease and desist order than hire fan creators. Which is honestly a shame considering that the fan creators seem to have more talent than the actual GF staff nowadays. Though that's probably why they do that because they see all that raw, untapped talent as a threat to sales instead of the bottomless gold mine that it is.
@@masterwizardwither7444 Some fan creators like Zame have a lot of talent but don't underestimate the professional musicians nintendo hire. They are the one who made the original themes you still remember and all of that with the compression rate of the cartdridge. If you look at some most recent production like Pokemon let's go or Ultra Sun and Moon you can see they still make excellent themes.

My first pokemon game was Pokemon Yellow. My sister didn't like it so she gave it to me. I must have been 7 at the time. At the time gen 3 was already out and I had no idea, I played pokemon yellow and I loved it. At school, kids would make fun of me because my game didn't have as many features as theirs since they were all playing ruby, sapphire or emerald, but I didn't care. I just loved my game. This theme brings me back literally 20 years back. It's so difficult to describe the emotions such a simple game could bring to a kid and how strong these same emotions would be 20 years later.
The first pokemon I played was Fire Red and when I heard the Pallet Town music it was... WOW it's so relaxing
(it's one of my favorite songs in this game :,D)

You remastered this so well. Sounds very Gen 6-ish with the flutes and harpsichord. Regardless, I love it. People bash Gen 1 from how often its remade (understood) but man back in 1999 in Pallet Town when I couldn't even read and had to ask my cousin for help with Pokemon Yellow?? I love and miss those little moments; yet I'm reminded of them by great music like this :). Again, awesome work Zame.

I'm not gonna lie. You're remasters inspired me to want to make music stuff like this too. I want to get into this but I don't know how or where to even begin. Can you give me any tips on how to start learning or what you use to make these? Also this version of pallet town is sooo relaxing.
I'm not great at music, but know a fair bit. Doing stuff like this would be a lot easier if you knew at least some basic music theory.
Learn what chords are. What are keys? What is an interval? Basic stuff like that. There's tons of resources online to learn some stuff about it.

I have seen other comments about coincidental timing, though it had never happened to me. That changed now, when I see this video right after finishing Leaf Green (for the second time, I lost my other file as it was on an emulator that I couldn’t figure out how to save on.). Anyway, excellent remaster, as always!

I swear man I’m 30 years old but I hear the Pallet Town theme and I feel warm inside and everything around me stops and I just imagine the first Pokémon I ever picked which was Charmander... and to this very fucking day he’s my favorite Pokémon of all time and any time I play a Pokémon game I go out of my way to find him

Even though I was born long after Pokémon Red, Blue, or even the remakes were made, Pokémon FireRed was still my first game ever, and this just brings me to a simpler time.
Brings back so many memories.
I remember my first pokemon game was Red.
I was 10 or 11 years old.
Later on, I eventually got Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Sapphire, and Emerald. My love for the series actually died after the GBA system became obsolete.

Back in 1999, I was given an old Gameboy with Pokémon Red as my first video game ever. Because my parents didn’t care for video games, I was completely on my own trying to play the game. I thought I could beat Brock with my team of Charmander and 5 caterpie and weedle. For this reason, I started the game over and tried Squirtle and eventually beat him. Being in the IT field now, I like to think this game was my first experience in troubleshooting, how to beat Brock haha
