Hi Matt, Since nobody noted what they do. I'm 58yrs old. My exercises include. Theses are on different days. Supersets of 1/2 Squat 5-6 reps (because a sprinters knee is at 90% on front block) 30sec rest Banded jump squats (double length green band on bottom of squat rack) x 6 reps 30sec rest Assisted jump squats (purple band looped in the top of rack) x 6reps. 2min break repeat x 3 2nd session. Power clean x 5-6 30sec rest High pull from below knee with approx 40% 1rpm x6 reps. 30sec rest Jump squats body weight (palms touch 2.7mtr roof I'm 170cm) x6 2min rest and repeat x3 Session 3 Roman dead lift x 5-6 reps 30sec rest Kettle bell swings x 10 reps fast 30sec rest Banded jump. Loop band around hips anchored to rack hook. Break at the hips like a RDL but not fully. With tension on the band. Violently jump forward driving the hips forward. Session 4 Dumbell Step ups with high knee at the top. Note dorisiflexed foot x 6 each leg. 30sec rest Banded Bulgarian split squat from 90% up. More like a pulse. X 6 each leg 30sec rest Borlzoffs (jumping Bulgarian split) x 6 each leg Rest 2min repeat x 3 So contrast. Not on everything. But mostly legs. Also do car pushing (25m) with 2 people. Followed by a block start 30m. Also other things like nordics curls, hip flexor crunches, sprint flys, Weighted switches. Push press, Medi ball throws.
Exercises with added weight or resistance. They will force your body to do whatever it takes like lengthen you strides to generate more force or power to get you going
