    If I hit the Texas Lottery, my McIntosh dealer will be one of my first stops! Meanwhile I’m very happy with my 1970’s vintage McIntosh C-26 pre-amp & McIntosh McIntosh MC-2105. Still performing flawlessly after almost 50 years. American made 🇺🇸!

    It looks awesome. Experience has taught me I can't tell how good the sound is without an A/B with something else.

      I never knew how good Tool sounded until I recently streamed them and listened to them on my new McIntoshMA12000 integrated. Let's just say I was blown away. This band was way ahead of their time and I had no idea.

    Great presentation on the equipment, but remember the sound through our computers is lack luster. Also would like to know the Watts on the amps and the THD. Oh owned McIntosh since the mid 70s.

  • @chainsaw5vent
    @chainsaw5vent ปีที่แล้ว

    And to all the people who fussy faced all the blue McIntosh equipment.
    Seriously?!
    I’m driving a dented, worn out & beat up 2004 Toyota Corolla. Any of your stereo equipment looks better than mine. Because I don’t have any right now. This is all new to me and very exciting.
    I have an Onkyo receiver pushing my TV set surround sound.

    I’m new to the premium stereo arena.
    It’s nice to hear Tool. So far everything I’ve come across is nice soothing music-- which is ok. But sometimes the music needs to be cranked.

    Is this more about the blue lights and really heavy equipment than about the music. If you did a blind listening test without being able to see all the lavish equipment...how many people could tell the difference between this system and a good but much less costly system? That turntable is ridiculous. How much did that cost?

    • @ClaudioBarroso
      @ClaudioBarroso ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably spotty or apple music @256kbps will sound better that that turntable. Vinil is limited to 13 bits, no matter what. This audiophiling bs is Sickening. Yes, had reel to reel (Pioneer Rt 707) and a very nice TECHNICS turntable back in late 70's. Nothing beat even a good lossy 256kbps audio.

    • @ClaudioBarroso
      @ClaudioBarroso ปีที่แล้ว

      I mean: nothing ANALOG will beat a 256kbps AAC track!

    You know here in Ohio somebody’s got a set of those for about $14,000. The speakers yeah I’m about five seconds. I’m pulling the number the string on and buying them considering they’re probably worth about $60-$80,000 for the set you’re talking over $100,000 worth of equipment where you’re at Sadly does not do it justice when you’re trying to demo sound and putting it on TH-cam it’s kind of pointless matter because it doesn’t do anything for me. You always have to be there to hear it but since I’m well aware of how linear Ray systems work I can almost tell you those speakers, and you know as well, as I do are top-notch.

      If you look closely, the cords are at right angles/ 90 Degrees. We are using best practice. Parallel or glancing runs will induce EM fields.

    I potted Transformers at McIntosh from 1997 to 2020,I remember doing the proto types for those amps,One Big Torrodial power transformer and two output Autoformers for each side,They incapsulated them in tar heated at 450 degrees to eliminate any Transformer hum.I believe they hit 800 Watt peaks.Plenty of power..

      @@gridhifi It was in my YT feed. I only heard McIntosh once, at a dealer. Very underwhelming sound, and I think they knew it. The higher spec McIntosh probably sounds OK, but I'll pass on the blue meters. I don't see the point.
