@J P great question. The Sony laser has a cone in front of it that can present a danger to your eyes. With the low ceiling we had to position the projector in front of the main seats to be safe. This meant we had to use the short throw lens version. The DCR will not work with a short throw. But it’s really not needed as the picture is insanely bright.

That's awesome, just the way I would want my imaginary HT to be: maximized screen. None of that extravagant HT with a relatively small screen. Thank you for sharing this great content. The quality of these home theater videoes is really impressive. From the charismatic presentation, knowledge sharing, video clipping and more. Very interesting from start to finish, and the enthusiasm is contagious 😊👍🏻 One thing I would really be interested in is the total price of the home theatres in each video. Just ballpark figures. Is this a USD 200.000 or USD 500.000 build, when taking installation/labour into consideration? Would nice to have it broken down like: Room/furniture/lights/carpentry: USD 40.000 Audio hardware: USD 150.000 Video hardware: USD 80.000
Thank you so much!!! Since the homeowners are so gracious to allow us to capture the entire process, we do not post prices on You Tube. You can go to the link to the article in the video and we normally list all of the gear with a link to the pricing page for that piece of gear.
Great vids as always, Scott! This is probably the fifth AA vid that featured the JL Audio Fathom IWSv2 113 in a multiple subs setup. I am really curious how powerful it is. Right now I have dual E112, and I wonder if the SPL/SQ is similar (or more)?
Glad you enjoyed it. The Dual in wall 13" system puts out a ton of deep tight bass, more than two E112, but obviously the big inwall version costs a lot more too. Thanks for watching

I have an Optoma UHD60, obviously I would love an $80,000.00 projector haha but would this setup look good with an upgrade to a budget like $5,000.00-$10,000.00 projector on 179" screen/surround set up. I would love to do something exactly like this.

I'd love to do this as a job, my only discrepancy is, when you play the video and it auto adjust itself for the subtitles, why not keep video as it is and adjust the subs, that would annoy me the video changing like that
You can set it to do any number of things, keep subtitles present all the time, or for "x" seconds before it goes back to the full screen, it is actually great. Thanks for watching
I am curious though why you wouldn't want a widening of the room towards the screen or adapt the audio setup for sitting closer to the screen so it covers more of your field of view for immersion. Looking straight ahead and the screen being 40% of what you see doesn't seem ideal. I understand there might be some limitations with the original attic but in my head a widening room would be superior no?

Since then I went down to 50" and I think thats my sweet spot. Fits on a small stand, move it to any room, toss it in the car, etc. When Im in the home Im going to die in, then I'll get a massive TV lol.. Of course I enjoy bigger TVs but the last time I moved I had to rent a uhaul for just my TV and my safe. After that I said never again lol. Gave it to my mom haha. The upgrade of her life.

Great room and video! I would guess a DCR-lens was discussed especially with the MadVR, and was wondering why you
