I did this run in the opposite direction yesterday 11/19/23. It rained the night before. The second obstacle with the middle line that you guys were struggling on looks almost impassable. Big tires and horsepower are a must. It was an hour and a half of butt clinching . lol
I think they has ATRAC but did seem like they turned it on. The issue was they were going to slow... we did this trail in a stock GX460.. gotta get your speed up a bit
This is a 4High trail, NOT a 4Low trail. Get your speed up. You can't really "crawl" up this trail since it's so steep. ATRAC is all you need. You have to kinda "send it" from bottom to top.. watch our 2n17x video for ideas...
This trail is no joke. You need experience to drive this trail ive seen people die on this trail. You need lockers and know how to drive. Ive driven this trail for 20 years in all kinds of weather. Also you need a great spotter. This trail is not pilot rock but 2n17x.
I’ve been on steep slick trail roads and I can attest that lockers didn’t even help; like ice. ATRAC I’ve seen worked better some of the time(because if I didn’t says “some of the time”…you triggered would get offended) on super slick trails than lockers. Experience and common sense is needed.
LOL... and look at the 80 and 100 represent and just walk up Obstacle 1! Obstacle 2 looked like a b$%#& and pretty much required front locker! Obstacle 3 looked a bit easier but still difficult. Looks like a fun and challenging day.
Wow you guys ever heard of airing down? Also were the rear lockers even on? Noobs I agree luckily didnt roll with some of the lines and tire directions. How abo we all buy some rigs put some high dollar aftermarket parts and think we can wheel.
@gx460off-road5 speed helps, but I've done this road in 4lo driving slow, picking a line and correct momentum is key, you don't want to just throttle it. Though, I have front and rear lockers. Also air down to 15 psi. I see people struggle and wonder why they didn't air down

Tires and lift can be helpful but a capable vehicle is more important.....straight axle and lockers are a game changer.

I agree, on camera it looks easy. But in person it’s very sketch
Pilot rock is 2N33. The trail splits and you hit 2N17X. Pilot rock is a much easier trail. 2N17X can be intimidating. Looks like good times.

ATRAC will do this trail also... dunno if these drivers turned on their ATRAC... we did 2n17x in a stock height GX460
@714amit it's rare. This trail is medium difficulty, if toyotas can do it, it's not difficult.

Roughly 4hrs or so? I forget where it ends up but it’s close to the 15
What kind of lift on the 100 series? If any

Yup, we tried, but it was rutted pretty bad. Didn’t wanna push it since no sliders yet
