Its just matter of how much artist show his equipment in Walker's case. Alan showed his equipment in Alone breakdown, and after this i guess you'll not have questions about his instruments. Then part of scrolling sounds, its always approximately. With that stems helped me so much. For pianos they're usually using kontakt, so, its matter of scrolling potential libraries w sounds (the same thing with Nexus). By character sound also you can approximately understand which instrument was used (matter of big practice, and it not always works)
Remaking is just lucky thing, you can find same sound sometimes - and you also cant sometimes (50/50). If i couldnt found it, then i using similar sounds)
