Interestingly, in Shane Warne's masterclass he did for Sky Sports, Warne discusses using the crease to create different angles. Also, by coming in on your run up in a straight line the spin will be consistent. As a leg-spinner, I noticed if you have a straighter run-up the ball bounces more after pitching and if your run-up is more to the side it spins more after pitching...
Another important point in bowling action is to use your backbone musles to rotate in motion rather than shoulders i.e generate power from lower part of body which will transfer to your upper body and arm.

Jamie is bowling from behind and through his shoulder, like a seam bowler. 1:58 at release his bowling shoulder is still very much behind his head. He's rushing his action, not spending enough time on the front foot before releasing the ball. He is likely putting back spin on the ball. I wouldn't be surprised if the seam and spin were canted at 90 degrees to the pitch, possibly even more - perhaps towards mid-wicket or mid on...rather than leg slip.
Get that bowling shoulder forward as a finger spinner. Roll the shoulders, or pivot at the hips to get your bowling shoulder ahead of your neck. You’ll have better seam position and more revs on the ball. Bowling behind and through your shoulder leads most finger spinners to put back spin on the ball, the seam rotating towards mid on. A useful variation but not really what you want for a stock ball. I didn’t notice the ball turning off the pitch in this video. That might be why.

What do you people do with your fingers/wrist for spinning the ball? I use my ring finger (it touches the side of the ball throughout run up and then goes up touching the ball upon release)

Especially on those pitches where there isn't much of a turn. Spinner it harder can get you turn, how much can you rotate your wrist.
