Really dig the direction here and how quickly they reacted to the community. I'd really like to see more frames start implementing latchable/easily removable vtx for 03. Being able to quickly swap your $220 vtx between copters would be a game changer.
Agreed, they really did take a lot of the suggestions/concerns and implemented them into this new frame! That would be an awesome feature considering how expensive they are lol.
I have the first version and am in the process of buding a V2. The arms are not interchangeable. The front arms are shorter than the rear arms so no swapping around unfortunately.
One thing I don't like about the door is the VTX gets HOT with the battery plugged in, also not very easy for blackbox tuning. I built mine from scratch. I was thinking about designing a door that moves the LED's and has an opening for the USBC port
But their electronics fail quite often out of nowhere. I have 4 master 5s 2 are hd frames and ive seen 4 out of 11 of their esc’s fail mid flight from 4th flight to some dying at 20th flight and few fc’s 9v rail pop when dji 03 plug and play is fail proof as far as impropper wiring not being a factor
will an dji air unit fit wel inside it? do they sell the same type of tpu mounts as the speedybee f722 frame or do i have to tape/ziptie to the frame? i see they added 2 antenna holders/slits for the air unit, does the horizontal position make a difference instead of vertical?

It gave a little break around 70% throttle, but thats it. I checked all the screws, props, and camera mounts. I know iFlight swapped out tpu for rubber camera mounts, is there an equivalent here?

The V2 frame featured in this video is about 110mm back of cam to front of VTX The Original frame with the fixed XT60 that i'm pretty sure you ordered is 130mm back of cam to front of VTX You should be good with a 140mm Coaxial on the V1 frame you ordered. But honestly, if you can return it or exchange for the V2 I'd do it.

The top plate on the V2 frame is a bit longer than the V1 so it unfortunately won't fit. Also the holes in the front don't line up with the new standoff design
The frame you showed that you did a review on before it has the lipo plug mounted in the frame. I wanted to know what frame that was. Is that frame longer then the v2 I want to put a walksnail avatar system in it put the coaxial cable is only 140mm long Could I fit it in that frame? I can’t get a answer from speedybee or PyroDrone people about this. The frame I ordered is called the SpeedyBee Master 5 HD 5” FPV Drone Frame kit W/170mm DJI 03 Coaxial. Cable.
That frame was the master 5 O3 (V1) and had an extended body to keep props out of view for the O3 & fixed XT60 like you mentioned. If you're planning on using that frame with a 140mm coaxial for walksnail VTX to camera you should be good, you'll probably just have to run the coaxial under the FC/ESC stack 👍
I would love an update on this frame. I just got the analog version and put the Caddx nebula pro in it and I’m just waiting on my Dji google to get here so I can fly it.
So I smoked my fc on my speedybee master 5 v2 so I ordered a new one and put the wires and connections back together but when I try to copy the saved settings I had saved from the original on beta flight I get a error message and I can’t find the ports or uarts for the original one where can I get that information?

Honestly I've become a really big fan of the Master 5 V2. The frame is very solid. Of those, my personal first pick would be the master5 v2. Second Choice would be Apex EVO

Yep! I have their Bluetooth boards on a few of my cinewhoops that have limited USB access. Makes tuning so much easier!

not at all, the OG master 5 frame is still solid. I know people questioned its overall durability but I never had any issues!

If you mount an action cam with the supplied mount, yeah sure. But you're mostly getting prop noise, not very usable tbh

I think your best bet would be a 1300mah or 1500mah 6s

how do you think the rear gps unit going to hold up sticking out like that after a crash?
I think this will depend largely on the crash. The TPU piece on the back feels solid though!

This quad is one of my favorites in my fleet. I ended up actually swapping out the O3 with a runcam wasp and it performs great. IMO an awesome frame 👍

Looks like the XT60 wire is coming directly from ESC, in case of crash and lipo gets slipped, it could rip off the wire from esc .....
