Hi Denise, My looming things had all been put away in a big plastic bag until I saw one of your videos last week. Now, I've not only brought everything back out again, but have made 4 hats, and a couple of scarves! Thank you for helping me get my looming juices flowing again!

You are so amazing and your daughter is a beautiful model. I am 73 and until I found you on face book a year ago I had no idea how rewarding your teaching would become in my life. I have made hats and scarves and finally blankets. When I'm no longer here my children can wrap themselves in my labor of love. Thank you again and God bless.

Denise, last year I taught my Mom the basics of loom knitting and she is addicted!! I just had her watch this video and she say " oh, I can do that. She explains easier so I can follow along"! Other tutorials (other channels) she got overwhelmed. So, she turned 80 yesterday and she is making her first scarf today! Thank you!!

I'm always amazed by your videos. Instructions are so clear; very well explained and repeated. We can see well what you're doing and the lighting is great. Needless to say I've looked at other people's videos and they work with a dark yarn on a dark loom with bad lighting. It's so bad! But you're a great teacher and I keep going back to your videos. Thank you for all that you do for the loom knitting enthusiasts out there!

Great gift to give - these will go to the alternative school where my daughter is a counselor. These kids have nothing so a pretty little something will brighten their day. Thank you so much for this pattern that will be easy for me on to do so I can make a lot of them.

I made a friend of mine this scarf for XMas last year and she loved it. Since that time, I have made 2 more for my godchildren and now have an open loom and starting ANOTHER one tonight for a teacher who I dearly love and just retired. I don't know if it is the stitch, or the yarn and the combination of both that people find so fascinating. BUT, you are correct, Denise, it is very easy once you get the pattern down. I can knit during TV time or listen to my radio shows. Where ever you found this pattern, it is a GEM and I hope many, many people will make this scarf. So easy and very pretty. I did use a #4 weight yarn, not doubled, just a single strand. I think I want to try and chunky one for my other God Daughter, she runs cold natured and think it will turn out fine for her. I will make it a bit shorter as she is very short. THANK YOU again for sharing this pattern.....sure is a keeper, as you are, my friend! Keep FL warm for us, lol, will be there in late September for a family reunion in the Port St. Lucie area. Also, I need to get over to the Tampa/St. Pete area to see a childhood friend of mine who just retired and moved to FL 6 months ago. Hugs, Denise, THANKS AGAIN! Annie

Ann I'm soooo happy you liked it. I truly love this project. By the way, I tried this as a chunky scarf with a thicker yarn - I recommend you double knit the last peg - don't slip the first stitch. I'm hoping I can get back to it this winter ... stay tuned - you'll know if I did

I’m still pretty new but ready to branch out from purl and ewrap. Loving this one! I assume I could use this stitch to make a regular scarf, not just an infinity scarf? Would the cast on be any different? And what about the cast off? Also, would it work with a chunkier yarn or would that be too much? I have a ton of chunky but not much of the smaller. I’d like
To use up some of what I’ve got. Thanks so much!

I am LOVING this project. I am trying to avoid blocking and have been doing a true knit on the last loop then bringing it in front on the second peg to overcast and start the sequence again. It seems to be holding the edge more flat. You mentioned in the scarf that the purl stitch would keep it from curling. Is it possible to amend patterns to avoid blocking?
Your teaching is the best I have found and I keep coming back to your site. I bought your 10 stitches and love that too on my kindle.

    • @LoomaHat

Yes - fabric curls when you just use one type of stitch - like a eWrap best to add at least 1 purl line or row of purl.

Hello❣️ Your tutorials on loom knitting an infinity scarf is so newbie friendly, thank you. I made three so far and have gone to to only one mistake🙄. Any chance of teaching us how to cable knit an infinity scarf and slouchy beanie? Xoxo💕

your tutorial on this project is awesome. Thank you so much. I love the yarn you used. Do you remember the name of it. My daughter would love a scarf and hat with that yarn. It turned out beautiful. Can't wait to look you up and find more ideas. You make it look so easy. LOL.

Sorry for the delay Mary - I actually recommended this exact video on your other question. I've been out of town and just started answering comments - so now you know why I might seem crazy :) ... Let me know how your grands scarves turn out. - consider this pattern - much quicker then the diamond lace and I think just as nice - my 16 yo daughter likes it better

I love your designs!! I am working on the second one of these. The first came out perfectly, but this one is not matching up when I am trying to connect it. I am short by 3 pegs, some how! Do you have any idea what went wrong? I am at a loss.

How wide should the scarf be? I did 14 pegs on a 5/8 guage, but it seemed a bit skinny? The width tirned out to be 4.5".

Another great video and project. :) I have a question....on the cast off what is the difference when doing it the way you did from top to bottom and from bottom to top, instead of doing each peg the same? Does doing each peg the same not work or looks bad? Thanks for sharing :)

    • @LoomaHat
      @LoomaHat  7 ปีที่แล้ว

When you say each peg I assume you mean like a hat - if so that is a gathered method used to bring all the loops together. You want to cast off flat and loose for this project

lol i just ran around looking for an empty loom to make one!!! is it bad i have 3 24 peg looms and need more!!!!! lol ...its not my fault one is for scrubbies and towel toppers, one is for slippers , and the Boye loom, which i dislike is for other projects..so i need another one...so simple to justify
