One of rock's greatest songwriters and there is no finer example than this one. OG badass and trailblazer, unapologetically redefining and staking her claim to what it means to be a woman leading a rock and roll band. I am still unapologetically in love with Chrissie Hynde, and that will never change.
This woman has my heart, i would take care of her till she dies, she lived a life like me and i understand where she comes from. Wete both old and i thonk she understands
First Avenue in Minneapolis used to host "The Great Pretenders" on Thursday nights. It was a miming / lip synching thing up on the big stage. This was the opening song to it. It always triggers good memories.
I have tickets for the June 15th show in DC. I've seen the Pretenders three others times. All in the first iteration with Pete and James. Twice opening for the Who and another time with the original English Beat opening for them in a small club. Looking forward to seeing Chrissy in a small club once again!
Isn't this song just so F**ng gorgeous??
Better with time, I think
I always shed a tear when I hear this beautiful song. Memories of friends now long gone.
Being young is the 80's was one big party with this kind of music even when you were not partying.
I could listen to this all night! God bless The Pretenders!
Chrissie still sounds -- and looks -- incredible.
Sure does!
Unbelievibel! She still got the voice of 1979...!
An incredible talent. Always loved and admired her music and personal style.

I'm into the song and love the black and white video of disc
Loved this song from Day 1
A class act.
The very underrated Martin Chambers
on drums.
NOT UNDERRATED BY ME!!!
Hell of a drummer!!
He’s very entertaining to watch. First noticed on Back on the Chain Gang at live aid. He’s having a ball!
@@paullad3919 there with you.

The same voice after years😱😱😱
Outstanding live version! Pretenders kick ass!

Good sound - my fave era is the Learning To Crawl tour.
My favorite of hers.
Love it! 🙏👏👏👏
Chrissie Hynde and Blondie my college days music
Chrissy is so dang beautiful
Excellent.
She defines cool
They still sound good.I'm just wondering what she said To her lead guitarist at the end of the song
personifies "born with a guitar in her hands"
How many women can exude this level of sexiness and talent at 66? Yes, I'm objectifying Crissie as she is still hot and off the charts talented!!
chrissie
Chrissie is the ultimate rock chick to use a 70's term
❤❤❤❤
Chrissie is the Queen :
It's axiomatic: pedal steel makes every song better.
How do i find the wonan who stole my heart. Id give her anything even now
Great band.....I wonder why the drummer is behind a glass wall
Helps to keep the drums from bleeding into the vocal mics.
He’s also a very loud drummer.
does anybody know what the next to last song was on Austin city limits
Chrissie looking good! Get in that gym girl
I kiss you boots crhissie
